Nice food and alfresco dining

We had regular size Schnitzel (was quite big) and Roast Pork. Both generous servings. Good service. We had to hover around the outside tables to get a good spot.....when someone gets up you have to be quick!!!! Our meals were two of the cheaper ones on the menu at 14 and 18 euros each.

Just 15 meters away from the very noisy Hofbrauhaus (I got a headache there because of the very loud music) you can really relax and enjoy excellent beers and good home-cooked food at Wirtshaus Ayingers. A very nice restaurant and thanks God!, a quiet one. All the beers are first quality. Just try Ayinger Jahrhundert, Ayinger Ur-Weisse and Ayinger Altbairisch... More

I have been a fan of Ayinger beer for a long time and been counting the days until I visit the mothership of liquid love. To my surprise, this beer establishment (traditional Bavarian pub) also serves vegetarian and vegan (!) dishes. I chose the vegan variation of a traditional Bavarian meal and was not disappointed. Food was simple, but delicious... More

We had delicious food here. The food was made a dish at a time, and arrived at the table hot and fresh. I enjoyed everything I ate. The waiters are friendly, and accommodating. One night we arrived too late for the regular dinner menu offerings, but the kitchen made our selections for us anyway. I particularly enjoyed a dark, cask... More

I've eaten here twice. Food was excellent both times. BEST pork sausages with sauerkraut I've ever had. Kaesespaetzl isn't very good as well. My niece has eaten here many times as well as in other Bavarian restaurants in Munich and she swears by this place. She LOVES it. Call to reserve vs. emailing. Standard menu with reasonable Munich selection; kids menu was good. Good location across street from Hofbräuhaus so you can get the beer hall bustle without going in with kids. Beer good too

On the plus side, this place is much more quiet and less crowded than the nearby hofbrauhaus, though it wouldn't be my first choice. The kazespaetzle (spaetzle with cheese, fried onions, and green onions) was good and VERY filling and the wood-keg beer served in ceramic mugs was excellent. On the downside, the prices were a bit over the top... More

Ayinger is one of my absolute favorite breweries, so I couldn't resist stopping by at one of their wirtshaus. The beers were excellent, as per usual, and the food was solid. Despite the heavy flow of tourists, the staff did a good job handling the flow of customers. Tasty Bavarian food and fresh, cold beers-- what's not to like!

Loved this location, as it is right across the street from the Hofbrauhaus but much more quiet and has better service and food, so it's perfect for some great people watching! Would definitely recommend the roast pork.

Not good. Did not reply to my two emails requesting booking. Went anyway as reviews were so good. Place was similar to many here in Bavarian style. However dishes were far too heavy and bland. I had horseradish soup that was pure cream followed by overcooked pork with flavourless dumplings swimming in far too much sauce. Shame.
