A traditional Bavarian restaurant offering a good selection of local food. The food was well priced but the wine was very expensive, so ask to see the wine menu before ordering!!

Had a great meal here. Excellent service with very good food, the best of our stay in Munich. It doesnt look as pretty on the inside as the Ratskeller but the food, in our opinion was better as you can see from the empty plates! Our waitress was very good.

We had such a fun evening here and I must thank Konstanzis for his attentive service. My friend said the liver was the best she's ever eaten and my fish (trout) was perfectly cooked. I asked for a cucumber salad with dill vinaigrette which they made for me although it wasn't on the menu. Delicious! We finished it off with... More

I enjoyed two different evenings sitting at the bar and talking with both the helpful staff and other customers. They are so dedicated to their beer selection that for some types they serve from the keg only at certain hours of the day. Once the keg is empty, there is no more, and it is delicious. Reasonable, fun and worth... More

Have been here a few times after being unable to get into the Hofbrauhaus across the road (a tourist haunt) - this is smaller though certainly not tiny - with a fabulous collection of their own draught beers and a dependable kitchen providing reasonably priced Bavarian comfort food. My favourite place in Munich - the staff are very friendly and... More

Friendly welcome even for a vegetarian! Generous cheese spätzle with salad and bretzel with local white wine. Good value and service. Charming tavern on Platzl close to another crowded and noisy touristic Haus! Prefer Ayingers, You'll get the taste of München!

We book table (recommmended) for three lads. 3 different soup, 3 main courses, bottle of wine, 3 beers, 1 dessert, 3 espresso...145 €. All portions was huge and very unique taste. Deer stew, pork shank, creamed horseradish soup...wow, I fill my stomach just remember those!!!
