Great German food for a good price. We sat outdoors and the service was excellent and friendly. Highly recommended.

If you like your food "Brauhaus" style, this is the place to go. Friendly staff, not too crowded taken into account that this restaurant / brewery is in the city center. Nice Bavarian food and beer!

This restaurant is set in a quiet little alleyway which adds to the experience of eating out in Munich. The staff are great making us feel very welcome. I took my family here to celebrate my sons 25th birthday and our waiter made it a night to remember. The food is amazing Bavarian food and we all left with very... More

Wonderful German food at reasonable prices. Manager, Claudia, speaks English and was exceptionally accommodating to my wife who had been troubled with some stomach issues. My wiener schnitzel and spaetzle were great. We sat outdoors in the back. Lovely! The restaurant was busy and filled with locals--always a good sign.

Concierge from hotel suggested this from several Trip Advisor saves and it didn't disappoint. Lovely little patio, friendly service, and most importantly, great food. My wife and daughters had filet and they all loved it. I had roasted 1/2 duck with potato salad and braised red cabbage which was simply delicious. Great location and ambience because close to both Marienplatz... More

We came for dinner with a rather large group on a Saturday night. Large groups are often difficult to manage at many restaurants due to the space limitations of either the restaurant or the outdoor seating area. The owner (Claudia) and the staff came to meet us at the front door and personally set us up at a very nice... More

We ate here twice because we had such a good lunch we had to come back for dinner. We tried the 6 sausage plate with kraut, pot roast, spatzle, the salad with salmon and horseradish, and mushrooms with dumplings. This is not your typical German cuisine. The flavors are exceptional and you can tell that thought is put into each... More

After dining here we decided to wait a few days to see how our Zum Duernbraeu experience measured up vs. other places. Well 2/5 pretty much covers it. Aside from the nice location on a quiet street there were several disappointing aspects of our meal. The waiter was snide, the salad (Bunter Jahrezeitzensalat) my daughter ordered seemed to be missing... More
