Food was fantastic. We especially loved the saur braten, veinersnitzel, and the fabulous red cabbage. Service was very attentive and the atmosphere was charming. We had a lovely corner table(19). Manager Claudia answered our questions and was very helpful. Don't miss this restaurant if you are in Munich. You will not be disappointed.

I arrived with a group of 6 people at 7:30pm and had no reservation. Claudia, the restaurant manager, provided our group with a lovely corner table (table 19). Within 30 minutes there was not an empty seat in the house. The atmosphere is wonderfully charming. With it's mix of large and small heavy wooden tables and spacious dining area, it... More

We visited this restaurant after I dragged my partner out of the more touristy beer halls. Zum Duernbraeu is smaller and cozier than the other beer halls. For me as a veggie they did a fantastic vegetable strudel which was divine and hard to come by in the other beer halls. My partner on the other hand was delighted with... More

Great food, desert, ambiance. Light draft beer great. Make sure you save some appetite for the dessert.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here. My husband was on the hunt for Spaten and Franzikaner beers, of which they had both. We got to sit out front, and it was a lovely night. We ate there late, but that is the custom of Munich. I would highly recommend it.

My team of 8 enjoyed a delicious meal here earlier this evening. We were welcomed warmly and seated promptly at a wonderful outside table. Our orders were taken and drinks, starters, and mains arrived quickly. We had a selection of items from the menu; beginning with hearty bowls of soup, beers and pretzels, transitioning to schnitzels, pork joint and saürbraten... More

Try the small franks with sauerkraut and the traditional potato soup. Both are delicious!!! The large white franks are bland, so avoid those.

My husband and I had a wonderful meal at this restaurant. I had the duck and my husband had the schweinshate. This restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and attentive service. Don't be thrown off by the courtyard in the front being full, there is plenty of seating inside and outside in the back. I would definitely recommend that you eat... More

With a few nights in Munich it is good to visit a Bavarian themed restaurant, it was Saturday night and the place was humming with lots of locals enjoying the night out. Always a good sign near a touristy strip as is the case on Tal. Of course there are lots of variation in the Bavarian dishes but be prepared... More
