Great food. Wonderful, friendly service. If you're looking to avoid the big beer hall, this is the place. Everything was excellent.

We've been there in the start of January because we wanted to find some traditional restaurant with good food. We came around 3 pm and restaurant was almost empty. Beer is really good, staff little bit slower but nice. We liked their dumplings and cabbage so much, but I had a duck and it wasn't the best duck. Meat came... More

Went here for dinner with the family while visiting the Christmas markets. As this was peak season, reservations were required, and indeed, the place was packed with locals as well as the casual tourists (like us). Service is efficient, attentive and friendly, prices very reasonable, and portions are huge. Food is mainly traditional German/Bavarian fare, very tasty and well prepared,... More

Followed TripAdvisor reviews and was not disappointed! Close to the Rathaus area, this was a fun local food experience - we went for lunch but could see for casual dinner w family or friends. Traditional German atmosphere w long tables and benches, friendly service and a great menu. Sauerbraten and red cabbage to rival my grandmothers! Would recommend to others... More

Had a great evening here. Greeted by name at the door on our first visit - seated at a very nice table immediately and very well looked after by a very friendly waiter who joked with us in English and was attentive without being overbearing. Great food - HUGE portions - take it easy on the pretzels. Amazing house apple... More

Ate here twice, so yes, it must have been tasty. Down an alley off of Tal. Old world German tavern inside with big wooden tables and serving Bavarian favorites and beer. I was raised in a German-American home so found many of the family favorites on the menu and they all were like Oma made. Don't let the ingredients scare... More

We enjoyed new years eve dinner here and Claudia was most helpful in making a great effort to accommodate us at the restaurant which was full at the time. The food was delicious with an extensive menu including traditional dishes. We also received the best advice from a waiter on where to best experience the Munich new years fireworks -... More
