Good Bavarian food In pleasant surroundings

My husband and I went to this restaurant along with our friend who lives in a Munich suburb. Our friend recommended this restaurant. We enjoyed our Bavarian meals. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet. The service was friendly and efficient.

Tasted amazing. Beer was fantastic too. Get the pork knuckle if you like crackling. Everyone was very friendly especially for a german place where most of the time people are very direct

First time we passed by this place we thought it was a typical tourist place with menu in several languages. We didn't considered it despite of it's lovely location. Following night we asked at the reception of our hotel for a good restaurant with local food ... they recommended this one straight away. Saturday night, nice weather, long week end... More

The potato soup warmed our insides on a cold rainy night, and the Schweinshaxe was crispy on the outside and tender inside. As the evening went on, it got a bit louder, but it wasn't oppressive. Service was excellent and the food was hearty and filling. Some schnapps rounded out a very pleasant dinner. Recommended.

Last year when I was in Munich I visited the Zum Drünbräu twice in one week; I did that again on this trip, and on both occasions I elected to dine outside. And on both occasions I ordered the same menu item, the Zwiebelrostbraten, which consists of a salad, steak, grilled potatoes, and thinly sliced fried onions. This is an... More

Could not find restaurant recommended by friend so we decided to try Zum Drünbräu. So very happy we did. Shared a table with older German couple and my son asked Claudia what he had just been served. Kalbbries. Son ordered same and Claudia recommended another local dish to me. We both had fabulous dinners and we let Claudia make drink... More

Bavarian food at it's finest. We were seated at a large round table with local residents. Food and beer were great. After a few minutes warming up, we started talking with our tablemates. Had a really good meal and lots of conversation with locals, both in English and German. So good, we tried to get a reservation for a additional... More

Found this place by accident and so glad we did. Food was excellent, service could not have been better and although we were seated at a long refractory table we ended up in conversation with local people on both nights we chose to eat there. Can only recommend

Lots of traditional Bavarian fare like sausages, stewed beef and pork knuckle. Servings are huge. Lots of tourists and locals and place was packed for dinner on Saturday night, recommend booking. Even though it caters to tourists it is authentic and local. Don't expect finesse service more a eat and go kind of place, maybe to share long tables. Worth... More

We had lunch here yesterday - good, authentic, Bavarian food. The service was efficient and friendly enough- no cranky old men in sight! Would definitely recommend it!
