Cuisine with passion. This is how the host Giorgio Cherubini describes his way of presenting to guests good quality Italian cuisine based on the finest ingredients. The restaurant is characterised by pewter plates and massive pillars which end up on the ceilings as oversized hands. The place is cosy and the food tastes good. It certainly agrees with the upmarket clientele. The staff are friendly and serve a range of dishes including cuttlefish with polenta, saddle of rabbit served with artichokes and melon salad served with strawberries. The restaurant serves a selection of Italian wines.

After two weeks travelling in Alps I was a little bit fed up with Schnitzels and Wursts... It was a pleasant surprise to find such a good italian Osteria near my latest hotel. The master of the house came to say Hallo and all the discussion with the butler and other waiters was very polite and informative. The menu was... More

I love the food there, especially the fish! But i don't like the fact that you don't get your own menu. The waiter reads the menu to you. It's always a bit difficult to decide what to eat because you only hear the menu and you don't see it.

Katzlmacher is a wonderful experience but that experience comes at a very high price point. All of the food was excellent. My only complaints are that the veal chop had a few fine pieces of bone, probably from being cut on sight, and I am not sure about the value as it seemed very expensive although I have very little... While the staff and service was very good, the food was average and expensive. The atmosphere was very good.

While walking along Brähausstraβe we noticed this osteria and though it was worth a return visit, especially since Frau Floyd had it up to her augäpfels with German food, not to mention we love Italian! We returned an evening later and had an extraordinary trilingual waiter and a fantastic meal. Our waiter personalized our meal by bringing a blackboard menu... More

After many days of German food, this was a nice oasis on a long trip. Not cheap, but a thoroughly charming evening. Delicious fresh seasonal food. Charming waiter.

We were ready for something other than German food so at the recommendation of our hotel concierge, we gave this a try. The food was above average but the prices were VERY expensive for what you got. I have been to my share of restaurants and been to a good number of very pricey ones. Honestly, we paid about double... More
