I went for a birthday party and it was a great choice. Small and big rooms to choose, service a bit slow but food is tasty and prices are fair for the many options they have. My group had many toddlers and the petting zoo behind the beergarten was perfect for breaks and some running around. Expect to pay 15-20... More

The food, beer, and service were all very good (but not spectacular), The atmosphere was very fun even on a Thursday night.

I would have prefered to give this a GOOD rating (between Average and Very Good). - we were there at night (hence, didn't see any deers) - it was a cold night so we sat indoor and missed the outdoor seating that apparently can house 8000 people - travelling there was a little out of the way, tram and then... It was too cold to sit out in the beer garden so we ate in the restaurant The restaurant has an old fashioned feel about it - lots of table to share, wood fittings, low roof. The place was full and the waiters were running around with trays of food and and steins of beer We found a table to... More

We had dinner here twice during a recent stay at the Hotel Kriemhild and really enjoyed the outdoor ambiance and happy energy of this place. On one evening there was a large group of young men at the table next to us who were all dressed in lederhosen - the beer was flowing and they were clearly having a great... More

This is not only the largest beergarden in Munich, but also the nicest. Love the location in the Hirschgarten park, they have a large self-service and a smaller service-area. Both are equally nice and fun. The beer is great, food is mostly just ok, but the ribs are outstanding. Service can be somewhat rude depending on the waiter, but is... More

We loved this place, it's easily reachable by tram 17 from the train station or by the s bahn. It's outside the classic tourist area so you will get a lot of locals and a authentic experience. Selection and cleaning of your own mug is very fun, you can even make a custom railer with the lemonade taps at the... More

We liked it so much we returned two more times to this lovely outdoor beer garden. The servers in traditional lederhosen carrying huge steins full of beer and gigantic pretzels were funny and food was great.

The Hirschgarten in Munich is the biggest beer garden in all of Europe. We stayed at a hotel about 100 meters from the entrance and visited twice. The place is amazing with 3 separate sections for dining and drinking. There is a building with inside dining and then there are 2 separate outside dining areas, one with wait service and... More
