OMG could not believe how great the food was here. We had tomato soup, pizza, pork and then apple strudel and it was all to die for. We were stuffed. We were so impressed we are going back tomorrow for lunch after our hike to the castle. AND so cheap. 3 courses for two people and three of the best... More

We were not expecting much seeing that this place is at the foothills of King Ludwig's castles, I.e, tourist city. What a pleasant surprise! The food and service was fantastic. The King Ludwig Weiss beer was the best I have ever had, and I sampled as many as possible in Bavaria! This is the place to eat and drink after... More

We were four and we came to Allgauer Stuberl after a tiring Hike of Schwangau Castles . We did not find any other good restaurant near by castle visit other than Hotels and Imbiss(Fast food). We landed here when hunger struck. The waiter speaks english. yay!!!. I odered Pork Knuckle with Potato dumpling, it was worth the buy and I... More

We only came across this place because we were hungry and it was on the way from the parking lot to the ticket office for the castles. We were seated right away, but taking our drink order and receiving the drinks took a bit of time. I had the roast pork with dumplings and coleslaw, not a bad meal, I... More

We asked for a glass of hot water on the side of the coffee and they charged 1.5 euros. I think that's outrageous!

I had the sausages with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. It was great. The service was good too as they were very busy. The price is good, but I think it should be a little less expensive. I live in Europe, so I know what to expect. It's a tourist spot around the castles, so I guess you should expect that.... More

Right in the city center in front of the ticket office. Food was good but not many choices. The pizza was quite okay.

I ordered some "bavarian meal" - and it looked very like it. Then I tasted it - sauce tasted like made out of bag. Overall - dish looked well, but tasted VERY AVERAGE to POOR. It's a typical tourist restaurant - average quality, because no-one will come back.. Do I regret it? I had worse... Do I recommend it? No!

Those who whinge about the service on here need to see it from the waitresses point of view. This is tourism on an industrial scale and these people must be sick of arrogant tourists shouting English at them all day. If you attempt a little German, just a little, I am sure you will be received better. I was amazed... More

I had Weiner Schnitzel, tender and crispy, my husband enjoyed his pork with mushroom sauce too. Good portion size and reason prices. Fast service with a smile.
