Nice typical restaurant. The food was delicious (definitely recommend the sausages and the pork knuckle). Good option in the area.

This restaurant is on the bottom floor of the Alpenstuben Hotel located right next to the castle ticket office building. It is very convenient for those staying at the Alpenstuben or nearby. It is open until about 9:30 PM, late for German standards, and is reasonably priced. Since I am not a fan of German food I only rated it... More

Traditional Bavarian food quite hearty but that's due to the climate, very good, tasteful, great portions, not too expensive, service is great, but there were alot flies i suppose that's due to all the horse and carriages outside that can take you up to the castle and around town, toilets were clean, and the place is presentable with Bavarian decor.... Our food here was excellent, especially the apple strudel. My wife and I split a sausage plate and some wienerschnitzel and both were delicious. Our waiter was disappointingly inattentive, but when the manager noticed my desperate please-bring-me-another-beer eye contact, we got the prompt service we were hoping for. If you're in town to visit Neuschwanstein then this is a great... More

Dined in this restaurant on three different occasions and enjoyed all three meals. The apple strudel is excellent with vanilla ice cream. The service was friendly and superb.

With the exception of the Jaeger Schnitzel, we enjoyed the food there. The Jaeger Schnitzel was too thick and the sauce didn't have much flavor.

It was fine. The Wienerschnitzel was typical with french fries. My husband actually had the chicken and rice and it was good. It seems like the restaurants all serve the same stuff. It was uneventful and fine.

The hotel is centrally located within Hohenschwangau. The ticket center for the castle is right next to the hotel. Rooms are basic and quite small but offer nice balconies where you can enjoy the view. The restaurant is also quite good and offers typical bavarian food. A good place to stay and eat when visiting the attractions.

We dropped by for lunch on the terrace after a hike up the hill to see the castle. We all enjoyed our meals which included Goulash soup, farmers plate & bratwurst served with typical Bavarian accompaniments of potato salad and sauerkraut. The waiting staff worse traditional dirndl outfits and were friendly and efficient with service. Prices not bad considering what... More
