Easter break.

very attentive staff, good choice of meals in the restaurant. We had a romantic room with a view of the castle only downside was that if we opened the window above our bed the kitchen smells coming from the extractor outside our window were unpleasant.

After taking our seats, we waited for 10 minutes to be served, after waiting already 5 minutes for menus. After calling a waiter (tall, skinny, bald man) for menus, he screamed at my father (who is 64 years old and deserved some respect...even as a customer) in german to wait. We were so embarrassed as the whole restaurant turned to... More

We arrive late at our hotel and arrived just as the kitchen was due to close. The hotel we were staying in made the reservation on our behalf. The staff were very good we were allowed to order anything from the menu. Very comfotable and relaxed atmosphere.

We stopped here on a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. As you might suspect it was filled with tourists and tour groups. The atmosphere is nice. We sat in a back room that was well decorated, but service suffered because we were not in a typical area and the rest of the restaurant was packed. The food was what you would... More

Nice typical restaurant. The food was delicious (definitely recommend the sausages and the pork knuckle). Good option in the area.

This restaurant is on the bottom floor of the Alpenstuben Hotel located right next to the castle ticket office building. It is very convenient for those staying at the Alpenstuben or nearby. It is open until about 9:30 PM, late for German standards, and is reasonably priced. Since I am not a fan of German food I only rated it... More

Traditional Bavarian food quite hearty but that's due to the climate, very good, tasteful, great portions, not too expensive, service is great, but there were alot flies i suppose that's due to all the horse and carriages outside that can take you up to the castle and around town, toilets were clean, and the place is presentable with Bavarian decor.... Our food here was excellent, especially the apple strudel. My wife and I split a sausage plate and some wienerschnitzel and both were delicious. Our waiter was disappointingly inattentive, but when the manager noticed my desperate please-bring-me-another-beer eye contact, we got the prompt service we were hoping for. If you're in town to visit Neuschwanstein then this is a great... More

Dined in this restaurant on three different occasions and enjoyed all three meals. The apple strudel is excellent with vanilla ice cream. The service was friendly and superb.
