I went to this restaurant after reading many positive reviews from this site. The restaurant is good and the quality of the food is also fine. As they offer different menus every day, it is very likely that some of the dishes are out when you want to order. Anyway, there is always an alternative dish. However, I have to... More

The Salz und Pfeffer is an ambitious place to be with a clear agenda: well cooked, fresh made, only seconds from cook to the guest, and nearly all provided by local farmers and producers. You will have a look on the kitchen which fills about a third of the guest room. If you get a place at the bar, you... More

The Salz und Pfeffer is a rather small restaurant — and popular. So don't expect a lot of privacy, well, don't really expect any. What it lacks in space it more than makes up in quality of food, though! Seasonally varying menus with just a few dishes to choose one but those are made to order from fresh ingredients (and... More

This twelve table restaurant is hard to recognize by its size, but you remember it by service and their delicious dishes. They serve a changing menu day to day which contains 2 different starters / 2 main course (1x vegetarian, 1x meat) and 2 types of desserts. The ambient is like the modern cosy trattorias you often find in Italy... More

Good food but somewhat limited selections and a bit pricey for my liking (for the atmosphere, location and such). Sits nearly within the Siemens factory so an easy spot for a casual lunch while working there.

Pretty good local neighbourhood Italian restaurant and probably the best bang for your buck dining in Italian in a convivial, relaxed setting with a small menu that changes daily. Whilst my meal wasn't amazing, it was rather good for less than 10€. Is there anywhere in town you can get two decent plates (Antipasti starter was excellent. Fresh ravioli was... More

My husband and I lived in Erlangen for a year and loved going to Salz und Pfeffer. The menu is limited, but changes every day. The food is very fresh, all homemade and a great value. It's a small place and can be hard to get into, so make a reservation. We miss this place!

Great, if you love authentic italian cuisine... But never forget to make a reservation in advance - it's always packed! :-)
