We visited this restaurant based on trip advisor reviews and agree with the recommendation! It was very nicely decorated and the staff were so friendly and charming. The food was excellent. We enjoyed pasta, osso buco, and duck - all entrees were exceptional. Meal and cocktails will be around $50 - 60 for two people.

Don't expect your typical Schweineshaxen and Schnitzel here. This is a fine dining establishment without being fussy. Book a table in advance as it can be difficult to get in. The restaurant is closed for a period in mid-November so that they can holiday before tourist season begins. Unforgettable Silvester dinner (though not cheap, it was worth it).

We were in Germany/Austria for 11 days and this, by far, was my favorite restaurant. We had enjoyed the bratwurst, wiener schnitzel, spaetzle, etc. but were ready for something different. We found it at Koch's. We were seated right next to the window that looks into the kitchen. It was a treat watching our meals being prepared. Everything was excellent,... More

Please go here. Of all the times we have visited Garmisch, I am bummed it took us this long to discover Koch's. The meal was an experience. Fantastically prepared food, yet very simple and delicious. The chef is very talented. The owners are absolutely delightful and entertained our 2 young children while we ate (total of 8 of us, 6... More

We had dinner here and did the chefs choice tasting menu with wine pairings. It couldn't have been any more perfect! Each dish was truly fantastic. The wines were beautifully paired and really complimented the dishes. The service was perfect. I loved everything about this place and would love to return on a future trip.

Great meal, super fresh, trendy. I ordered the veal, my husband had the swordfish. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. This was our second visit. English menu was available.

Nice surprise and not typical German style, both food and service made us smile. We were warmly taken care of. A good place if you want to avoid tourist trap

We were told Koch's was the best restaurant in town and we were up for a change from the classic Bavarian food we had been eating for the past few days. We arrived early so there was a good choice of tables; we chose to sit outside as it was a nice evening. The wine list wasn't extensive but we... More

Happened upon the most amazing Resturant while staying in Garmish-Partenkirchen. The food was delicious, and excellent service. The passion of the owner and chef is palpable thorough the comfortable atmosphere and delicious food. Only disappointment was finding this treasure on out last night!
