After seeing the outside, and walking to the top of the Eagles Nest, we stopped off in the little restaurant. The interior was beautiful, staff was very attentive, and the food was delicious! I would recommend the potato soup, or the spinach and cheese balls. Watch out behind you when you first get in, as the waiters and waitresses are... More

We enjoyed a lovely meal here after going to the Eagles Nest ( A present for the dictator on his 50th birthday). The views are spectacular and the food good. The weather was very hot when we were there and you could see clear across to Salzburg, fantastic. A not to be missed visit both from an historical viewpoint and... More

We were there on very cloudy day, I believe you can see very pretty scenery from the restaurant if you could have the window seat like us. We ordered roast pork ( special request of French fries rather than dumpling) and also sausage, they both taste very good. French fries is crisp and tasty. Pork is soft and juicy, sausage... More

We went up early on a clear day. We went directly onto a bus and up the mountain. The walk into the mountain tunnel gives you a interesting sense of what it must have been like and the brass lift is in great condition. It was not full so we had plenty of space. The building itself is as you... More

this has to be seen. unbelievable to see what this dictator got as a "present". the location known also as EAGLES NEST is quite breath taking. the ride up to this house alone is beautiful. the view on top of that mountain...on a clear day ...amazing! the restaurant before was only in one room and one outside (beer garden). now...unfortunately... I enjoyed the whole experience of arriving at the Eagle's Nest. Insanely beautiful scenery on the drive from Munich to Berchtesgaden, the bus ride up the mountain, walking the tunnel, and the brass-pannelled elevator ride. It seemed odd that this historically significant building was saved only because it was allowed to be converted into a restaurant (the highest in Bavaria?).... More

The views you can get anywhere in Bavaria. the fact is this place is nothing more than a very high restaurant but tatty and in need of tidying up. The access is controlled by an expensive bus service. The walk through the tunnel is interesting as is the lift journey in the brass lined lift. The original baco lite telephone... More

I can't comment on the restaurant at the Kehlstein Haus which might be just fine. We ate at a stand outside and ordered the cheeseburgers. They were pre-cooked and in bags which were just microwaved and pretty much inedible. I threw mine away.

We visited the place recently and it was absolutely amazing as a restaurant. Excellent food for good price, fast and very kind service. What else would you like in a restaurant? Unfortunately, photographing is prohibited. :/ I am from Hungary and for a starter I chose Gulyas soup. It's a national food in my country so I doubted I can... More
