Amazing view and here history becomes alive.

We actually didn't eat at the restaurant. But my review is about the place itself. When I saw the golden elevator I knew that this is what I have heard so much about. The elevator, the building with all the rooms in it and the amazing view from the building and the surroundings where you can go... read more

Going up to this place you need to get special busses from the village below. You shouldn't be scared of heights on the journey up it's on a one lane serpentine road. Once up at the parking don't miss to book the time slot for the return journey. To go up to the house you take a beautiful lift to... More

Amazing view from the top. Worth a visit to soak up all that mountain air and take some great photos. There is a restaurant at the top. You have to get on a special bus to go halfway and then do the last stretch in a lift so if you don't like lifts probably not wise - although you are... More

Well.....its all about location. Wow what a view. Four of us took the bus to the Eagles nest. It was 64 euros for the bus. You ride the elevator from the bus to the entrance where you make a short trip through an old tunnel which brings you to the restaurant. The food was surprising good. We had Jager Schnitzel... More

We had some of the best views of our trip at the Kehlsteinhaus. I usually avoid going to tourist areas during peak seasons, as we did here and planned in enough time to visit. Which is probably why we had a better experience than many other reviewers. Our waitress was quite charming, even took pictures for us. The food &... More

Even if the day is foggy, this is a good place to visit to experience history. Also known as the Tea House and the Eagle's Nest. If you want a tour of the interior you will need to arrange before arriving, however, you can still have lunch in the great room and take in the truly breathtaking views - when... More

If you have the time, over 45 min for lunch, then should be okay. But if you're on a tour and on a deadline w/under 45 min, a place to avoid as wait staff is absolutely horrendous in this part of service. Got waiter's attention twice, wanting to hand him a credit card to pay but got waved off each... More

Considering this place has more or less a complete monopoly on the eating choices available the temptation would be to hike up the prices, but not so. Our delicious lunch proves the point. Succulent braised venison ("Bambi,s mother" so the waitress with a sense of humour informed me as she served the dish) Goulash with Bavarian Noodles & Red Cabbage... More

We were there two weeks ago by joining a tour. It was cold that day, only 4C on the top and already had snow in the summit. We hiked up to the summit but because of the limited of time, we didn't walk all the way across the summit but just high enough to see the Königssee. Beautiful scene. We... More
