Great German Food and Bier

Everything you imagine a German restaurant should be. Great food, good selection of beer and great ambience. Paneled walls with folksy frescoes and arched ceilings. On crowded nights the service is slow but take that as an opportunity to relax and enjoy. Most locals come and stay for a long... read more

Always buzzing with locals and visitors hiking or skiing in the surrounding mountains. Prices are very reasonable and the food always consistent. The usual Bavarian specialities are served with efficiency and warmth by the hard working waiting staff. This is one of my favourite bar/restaurants in the world!

With the elderly coming to this place to discuss and taping on a bell each time they order a beer, the atmosphere is set. Furthermore, some pictures dating from 2971 show the decoration and curtains have not changed since then. The food is nice, the usual traditional dishes are all present, the service in traditional custume is fine as well

While visiting my wife's family we stopped here for dinner and beer. The food was excellent and the Doppelbock beer was fantastic. Someone from management stopped by our table and chatted for a few minutes asking about our meal and describing some things to do in the area. Our waiter was attentive to us and the service good although a... More

Always liked this place and have even stayed in the upstairs hotel. Returned again in 2014 and was quite disappointed in the food, which had changed considerably from previous visits (the most recent being in 2013). Not sure what happened but someone needs to take a good look at the quality of what is coming out of the kitchen. Things... More

Our guide book recommended this brewery restaurant and we had a very pleasant evening here. The food was typically German and very good. The owners dressed in traditional costume came and enquired if we were enjoying our meal and wished us a happy visit in Germany.
