A lovely relaxing atmosphere in a true Frankonion enviroment. The food is tasty, portions are generous amd the prices are value for money. A must when in Bayreuth.

Went here based on Tripadvisor recommendation. It was too cold for outside dining so we went inside and immediately found a seat. As we struggled through the menu the delightful waitress took our drink order then helped translate some of the menu options. Food was great, portions large, and substitutions easy. My wife's Peppersteak was DELICIOUS! And their home-brewed Oskar's... More

We went to this restaurant based on the reviews from Tripadvisor. The food was absolutely delicious and the waitress very helpful. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wanted to have a little lunch only. We selected a soop and a Salat (Schäfersalat). This was an excellent choice. The dressing with mustard was delicious. Even if the rooms are very dark, i can only recommend this place as it is a typical Bayreuth Bierkneipe where food is worth the money.

A really great informal place to drink and eat. And open late. It's our favourite post Festspiele place to make a bee line too. Great beer (try the Zwicki) and fabulous Frankonian local dishes. Serving staff always delightful ( must have a great recruitment manager). Don't pass it by.

We really enjoyed our dinner there in front of the historical building and beer garden restaurant, just great food and beer as we had schnizel and spargel. Delicious!

Great beer! Great menu and food. Very authentic, Frankische food and delicious! Our waitress was friendly enough, but many other tables that sat after us got their food way before us and even got their tickets and left before we ate. I would return because the food, beer and atmosphere.

The foow was good and the service also. Although the house was filled to capasity, the staff succeeded in fast and swift serving of all with fairly few minutes. The food is original bavarian, that is a little on the fat side, but who cares, when the taste otherwise is good, Try the local Bayreuth Dunkel Bier - it's a... More

I visited Oskar for the third time last week. I love this place, typical frankonian restaurant with a fantastic beer (Zwick'l from Aktien) and great food such as Schweinebraaten mit kloss in dunkelbiersaus unt sauerkraut. I have visited serveral restaurants in Bayreuth when at the company's HQ in Bayreuth, but Oskar is a piece of art. It has never let... More

The Oskar is a very nice place with good foods. It is usually very full, then make your reservation. I am celiac, so there doesn't have so many foods that I can eat, and many times my food come wrong. It has the beste kaesespaetzle, and had the best brunch too.
