Surprise!!

I was in Ulm with a colleague and we decided for an Indian dinner. Well, what a great surprise!! Great staff, very kind and nice Chicken soup is wondeful, I ordered it 2 times. Then I had tikka chicken masala and was really wow!! What can I say more...try it!! And the bill is really honest!

So I think I'm one of the few UK contributors for this restaurant and generally speaking travelling around its not often you find an Indian restaurant that matches UK standards, not sure why, but that's my experience across most of Europe. This is the second visit here, I returned on the basis that whilst the first trip was a bit... More

Better than any Indian food anywhere else. They make their own nann bread too. Their duck vindaloo is fantastic, potatoes, coconut cream, corriander - just wonderful with a pint of the local beer.

We never expected to find an 'Indian' restaurant in Ulm but glad we did. Good range on the menu and at reasonable prices. We dine out a lot in England at Indian restaurants and this compared very favourably with most of them. Service was polite and efficient. A thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Really a nice place to dine out for Indian food, with a primer location and tons of options. They also have a lunch buffet every morning which is total worth the price. You can dine on two veg and two non-veg dishes along with unlimited naan and rice plus a soup. Thought its not spicy as you would expect hotel... More

The lunch buffet was above average when I went for the first time. So after a few weeks I went with a few friends of mine who aren't Indians, the restaurant was full, service was average, dint really feel welcomed in the place. The third went for lunch and decided to skip the buffet, this time everything was pretty good,... More

I lived one year in India and I think the bad comments I read here are from people who ignore what real Indian food is. Our two dishes: Chilly lamb and Sea food masala where just excellent though extremely spicy (we asked for it). Authentic, genuine top indian food definitely. Very good service the way it should be.

I tried it a few times, and always come to the same conclusion: this is not Indian food, I think the chef there should just do something else, as cooking is definitely not something he knows. If it is not just bland and totally tasteless (Dal was the most annoying thing I ever had), it just doesn't taste like Indian... More

I was in this restaurant about 10 years ago for an evening meal and swore I would never go in again. However I was in the city and hoped that that the restuarant had changed hands. I opted for the buffet and immediately knew it was the same person as the last time. The owner has definitely no experience of... More

When visiting Bavaria (Legoland, to be precise) my wife and I had a craving for Indian food. Since there was nothing we could find in Gunzberg, we travelled to Ulm to the Himalaya Indian restaurant.'Tis a pity that we did. Firstly, and this is no fault of the restaurant, there is parking nearby, but only for a maximum of one... More
