The lunch buffet was above average when I went for the first time. So after a few weeks I went with a few friends of mine who aren't Indians, the restaurant was full, service was average, dint really feel welcomed in the place. The third went for lunch and decided to skip the buffet, this time everything was pretty good,... More

I lived one year in India and I think the bad comments I read here are from people who ignore what real Indian food is. Our two dishes: Chilly lamb and Sea food masala where just excellent though extremely spicy (we asked for it). Authentic, genuine top indian food definitely. Very good service the way it should be.

I tried it a few times, and always come to the same conclusion: this is not Indian food, I think the chef there should just do something else, as cooking is definitely not something he knows. If it is not just bland and totally tasteless (Dal was the most annoying thing I ever had), it just doesn't taste like Indian... More

I was in this restaurant about 10 years ago for an evening meal and swore I would never go in again. However I was in the city and hoped that that the restuarant had changed hands. I opted for the buffet and immediately knew it was the same person as the last time. The owner has definitely no experience of... More

When visiting Bavaria (Legoland, to be precise) my wife and I had a craving for Indian food. Since there was nothing we could find in Gunzberg, we travelled to Ulm to the Himalaya Indian restaurant.'Tis a pity that we did. Firstly, and this is no fault of the restaurant, there is parking nearby, but only for a maximum of one... More

We lived in London for many years and sometimes the craving for Indian food is too strong. We had been at the himalaya twice; the first one was sort of okay and acceptable if the craving would become too much, the second one was horrible. It is definitely not too difficult to prepare a decent curry paste so I really... More

The food is a bit expensive but considering getting Indian food in ULM, it was very good. Its a very pleasant place with a bunch of very helpful people.

My husband and I were really craving Indian food and chose Himilaya for its location right next to the Rathaus and because it remains open quite late during the week. I had a seafood curry and he had a lamb curry. My food was really bland and boring (for Indian food) and he could barely eat his because it was... More

Directly across from the noteworthy astronomical clock on the Rathaus, this restaurant is very conveniently located if you're downtown. I like to sit in the front room in front of the large windows and watch the people and tour groups passing by the Rathaus. Whenever I'm in town for lunchtime a feel drawn to this restaurant. I love the lunch... More

We spent the weekend in Ulm for the christmas market and probably would have prefered going for more local food. But since most restaurants were fully booked due to company christmas celebrations, we went to the Himalya instead. And I must say it was a very pleasant experience. We were three of us, had a nice quiet corner table and... More
