Traditional Swabian fare which we enjoyed. Nice old fashioned decor. Our waitress was very pleasant but did fail to mention that the kitchen closed at 10pm so we had to go without desert. Good for authentic atmosphere. We would visit again.

This is a lovely restaurant in the Fisherman’s Quarter serving local Swabian cuisine. We were in Ulm on a tight budget, and Zur Forelle seemed a bit pricy, so we ended up at the nearby Zunfthaus. We split the Zunfthauspfännle between the two of us (€21,80 for 2 pork medallions, vegetables and Käsespätzle). This turned out to be a mistake,... More

We were taken to this restaurant by our local resident friend. She also informed us of the long tradition this restaurant has, her many visits with her family here, the recent change of ownership, and her doubts if it was still as good. As informed in a previous review all waiting staff is still the same. We are quite critical... More

Despite our non-existent German, and the wait-staff's non-existent English, they managed to find a table for this family of four who stumbled in just as they opened for the evening. We came here based on the Fodor's Guide recommendation. Saw the comments here that it was for tourists. They could be right as we were tourists and loved it. My... More

The Zunfthaus has been for some years our main destination for local food. We have visited this restaurant many times, both on our own, with friends and with colleagues. It was a reliable bet to sample Schwabian food and enjoy nice local beer. In the summer you can sit outside and in winter the two level restaurant is quite cozy... More

The restaurant is in an old house in the fishermen's quarter of Ulm. It still retains the old character, in a nice, warm and cozy way. The food focuses on local cuisine, explained on an interesting menu. All what we had was very nice, the portions more than generous and prices modest. What more do you want? Add to this... More

Quite an Ulm institution, located in a historic house in the old fisherman's district. The food is pretty good - and be sure to try the eisbock (ar rather strong beer) ;-)

A nice restauarant if you want to try some of the local dishes. The "Zunfthaus" is located in the "Fischerstadt", very close to the Donau river. Small alleys lead you to this place and it is easy to set your mind back, let's say a hundred years, to experience how it was during those times. As sping was not really... More

We live in Ulm and have been going to the Zunfthaus ever since we found a review of it on tripadvisor, especially if we have guests. They never disappoint! There's always a table, food always tastes great, drinks flowing, and the bill is reasonable for Germany. You have to go through the historic Fischerviertel to get there so you get... More
