Looking for a traditional German meal, but sick to death of schnitzel and wurst? Try the Allgauer Hof! This is a charming restaurant in an old half-timber tavern-like building, with outdoor tables in the summer. Their specialty is pfannkuchen - Germany's answer to crepes. There are all sorts: sweet, savory, hearty... Entrees are served piled in the middle of giant... More

There are no disappointments with German restaurants. Service is quick and efficient, portions are huge and potato is given as side dish all the time. The pancakes were huge, but they are not rolled or folded, these are on the bottom and the garnish is served on the top. I had one with spinach and feta. The spinach was sitting... More

What great idea to make giant pancakes. They have sweet and savoury ones. Be warned of the savoury as Germans sure like their salt and vinegar. And the beer is very strong and as soon as you get up, all the liquids you were quenching your thirst with (beer of course, what else) will hit you. The service is nice,... More

Food there is something special. The pancakes there are huge and the toppings either salty or sweet. Quality of the food is good and service quite friendly and helpful.

I am a total fool for this place. I am italian and everytime I travel to Ulm, I feel an urgent need to go there! My favorite pfannkuchen is the one with spinach, cream and fish... you can share one in two people since its diameter is 40cm. It taste delicious and the waiters are so nice (hello! in case... More

Ñice place to have German-style pancakes - rather big ones I have to say! NIce change from the Schwabian cuisine that dominates in a lot of the restaurants.

We were (party of 6) on April 6. We picked this restaurant out of tens just for location and food menu posted at the entrance and we were very happy we chose it. Classic interior and excellent food. The only problem: you might have trouble getting a table in the high season. It is a great location. It is in... More

WOW, The food, the drink, the interior and the service is just great. The Pfannkuchen is something you will not forget. Very reasonably priced as well.

A wondeful restaurant in the heart of the Fisherman's Quarter. There is a parking garage right around the corner, and the restaurant is in easy walking distance to the Cathedral. Pancakes (European style) that come with just about anything. OxenGold on tap. It is a unique restaurant that you just can;t find in many places.
