A large hall of mostly empty tables. Fast service. We had lunch, but the food was... rather bland and not that good. Schnitzel pounded super thin, a lot of breading, not a lot of meat and not much flavor. Beers were alright - The regular German stuff. But lunch is a cheap way to eat here.

Sophie's is not far from the main walking street, only about a block away from the Paulaner. Not to difficult to find. Brew several beers in house, including a Helles (bright beer), Schwarz (black beer), and certain seasonal offerings. Pleasant, airy place with lots of windows, on the second floor of a building. Fairly extensive menu, mostly typical German offerings,... More

Our hotel had given us several ideas for hotels and Sophie's was one of them. It is in the heart of Stuttgart at Marienstrasse 28. However, that really isn't where it is. 28 Marienstrasse is a grocery store. Sophie's is around the corner and you enter via a side door and walk up. They have an excellent menu, authentic Bavarian... More

On the first floor of the building you can eat & drink, Decoration is very typical and if guests are German you get the real feel and taste of Germany. Food for kids is very cheap ! It is not a gastronomic restaurant but nice atmosphere and waiters are very friendly! If you go there with kids I would recommend... More

This place is a little bit away from Schlossplatz. That is a good thing because the prices are a little lower. I had a giant pork chop with potatoes and a dark beer. Both were great. There were a bunch of locals eating dinner with their families which to me is a good sign that I picked the right place... More

In comparison with the food and beer experienced in our week in the Czech Republic this was extremely poor. I had lentils, ghastly sausages and thick noodles which were just plonked on the plate haphazard style- three seperate things which do not make a proper meal! Also poor service - had to ask to pay three times before they brought... More

Tipical brewery in Stoccarda town, you can eat a good dishes from the german tradition and of course, you can drink the exceptional beers...from weizen to lager...from dark to blonde...the price ar not to mutch expensive. Perfect the service and the staff. I have been here 2 time and i'll return certainly.

* Went there for dinner on a Friday night. Excellent beer and food. * Portions are very large and delivered quickly. * Could be noisy if very crowded.

The food is very good German classics and some intersting spins on tradition. Their beer, especially the Helles-style brew, is fantastic. Overall, a 4-star rating...not quite 5-star, though. I reserve 5-star for a truly outstanding experience.
