We are traveling through Germany and arrived late in Mannheim so we walked in search of late night dining. The East is a very stylish and inviting place not far from the train station. Two of our group are vegetarian and our order was made somewhat skeptically since our waiter spoke no English nor was there an English menu. Our... More

A wide variety of food from the far east including sushi, and Thai. Prompt service, plentiful and delicious food. Would definitely return.

Normal food, and they all taste the same. I love Chinese cuisine but this one is far away from the real chinese food. Overpriced. Service is poor that I regret to visit.

I never would've thought of Germany when thinking of good sushi, but this place is great. I especially enjoy the view when eating outside on a nice day.

This is a favourite 'buffet' restaurant of ours which we often go to when we feel we've tried out everything else and don't know where to go. Of course, you can order 'a la carte' but I would recommend the buffet (although better value for money with the slightly reduced selection at lunchtime rather than on evenings or weekends). There's... More

The East offers a very nice buffet. They offer sushi, salads, soups, a variety of chinese dishes as well as a Mongolia-style buffet, where you select your items and the chefs will then cook it for you. Reasonably prices- the lunch buffet was 10 euro.

I am from the US, and of Asian descent, so I am no stranger to Asian food and restaurants. With no exaggeration intended, this was one of the worst meals I've ever had. We arrived on a Monday night and decided to go with the buffet option. At first glance, the restaurant looks very nice and the buffet seems to... More

Right in the heart of the city, an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring a salad Bar,a sushi counter, several Chinese dishes, create-your-own combination of meats, veggies and fish for the grill, fruits, sweets and ice-cream at a very reasonable price.

First, the restaurant is on the second floor of the N1 block and the stairs to go upstairs are on the side that would face the watertower. I walked around the block three times, seeing the advertisements for the restaurant on windows, but no arrows to the entrance. Finally someone from the Rueu supermarket directed me to go upstairs. Second,... More
