The restaurant has not closed permanently, and as far as I can tell, has opened again as of end of Sept. I have been here a few times, and found it a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Admittedly, I have not been in some time, but I have family in Karlsruhe and visit whenever I am there.

Should be taken out of your list. The web site (and the answering machine) will tell you the place has been closed since 01 May, 2013.

The only criticism I can think of is that this restaurant is in Karlsruhe, not in London or New York. Absolutely flawless food, excellent wine list, impeccable service. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Wonderful experience - thank you to the team at the Oberländer Weinstube.

We had lunch there and enjoyed the food very much. They have a special lunch set menu which is 35 euros. It wasn't as good as other one michelin star restaurants we've been (well, we've been to two others in UK) but presentation of the food and taste were great.

What a pity that al othe critisisms of this restaurant which were on the trip advisor website a year ago have been deleted. To summarize: this is a good restaurant with excellent food at reasonable prices, but a terrible problem: the most snobbish and arrogant Maitre D'Hotel in Germany (which is saying something). Don't DARE to ask him for advice... More
