The beer. That's what's earned this Brauhaus 5 points from me. (If not for the beer, I'd give it probably 4 points.) We had the beer Vetter brews itself (of course), tried the light ('hell' in German) and the wheat (which is darker), and I thought they both tasted pretty good. I like my light beers and I liked Vetter's... More

Recommended by our place where we stayed. Food was great and they are a small Brewery, their Beer is very tasty. The location is amazing, sitting amongst history.

We were here last weekend with friends and had the best beer I've had in Heidelberg so far. It was a Kölsch and tasted simply wonderful. The place has a perfect atmosphere -- we sat outside and had a nice view of the little street in front of us and the gate of the bridge on our right. But the... More

I am a sucker for everything beer related, so when I found this restaurant with their own brewery in the center of Heidelberg, it was an obvious visit. The place is typical german. Brown, friendly athmosphere and meat on the menu. We ate the large bratwurst with sauerkraut. All in all a very good dish. The beer menu consisted of... More

Normally we don't visit the same restaurant twice in one trip, but this place was so good that we had to go back! There was a huge variety of true German foods that tasted AMAZING and their home-brewed beer was great too. They hold the 1994 record of beer with the most alcohol (33%) and their home brews are really... More

On our visit to Heidelberg, we randomly picked this restaurant and it was a fantastic decision. We had the seasonal beer, cheese and sausage plate, and a variety of lunch plates (spatzle, meatloaf, schnitzel). All of it was very tasty! After the cheese plate, I was full and just had a salad but that was fresh and good as well.... More

We found this restaurant by accident and we were delighted, food is different and the beer is home brewed. They both complimented each other very well. The waiter helped us go threw the menu and advised us on what to have. All in all give it a go

This restaurant brews its own beer. I tasted the light beer (Hell). Very good! The food here is quite good, but not special. Quality is OK, though. The most meals are typical German (Bratwurst, Schnitzel, Schweinshaxen). You must taste them at least once in your life!

Recommended by our hotel staff. It was good, but not great. They have both German and English Menus which is a plus.

I was here a while back. Their beer was the best and the food that we had was good also. I brought some beer back with me and gave it to some family and friends. I really liked Heidelberg and Brauhaus Vetter made it even better. Great people there also.
