The waiter is not nice. The taste of the food and beer are not good. Nice decoration. Not reasonable price No worth to try .

We went there on a Saturday before the castle illumination. Service was quick but the food was nothing to brag about. It wasn't bad, it just was about average.

Very handily in the centre of the old bit of town very near to the Old Bridge and with excellent beer brewed in-house. Varied menu with options for a quick snack right through to a full meal of traditional German fare. We just had a snack on a couple of days at lunchtime and it made a welcome rest from... More

Average nice place to eat. We felt that comparing to other restaurants we did not get the value we expected, and the price did not match the value. Although the place is ranked high, he is very far away from being #1

Despite being in the tourist district, this establishment attracts many locals. Warm and down to earth atmosphere and almost always busy. (You may have to wait for seating at key times). Quality of the food is good and service is quick. Seating is communal and not necessarily private. The menu is classic German Brauhaus and all good quality as best... More

Typical German brau house with hearty portions, good food and excellent local beer. Nice decor and very good service. A good stop in Heidelberg.

Vetter is absolutely the place to go in Heidelberg for an authentic local brew. The dunkelweizen in particular is amazing. Also grab a pretzel with some mustard and you are all set.

An attractive but unassuming restaurant very centrally located just a few yards from the entrance to the Alte Brucke. I went on a quiet Thursday but the place itself was reassuringly busy. Warm, cosy and welcoming, it was everything I wanted after a long day travelling. The menu is traditional German with all the staples and a range of excellent... More

I was in Heidelberg during the christmas and by chance I found this restaurant very close to the river. When you enter the first thing that you see clearly is the big beer brewery inside the restaurant. The decoration is quite rough and it is very much German style. However this gives the environment a great feeling and you feel... More

Very popular place between students and tourists, this microbrewery has some "charme", making it very typical. It's hard to get a place, you might be lucky if you are For the beers, you must like the style; there's no innovation in the standard one, just well executed german-style beers. They have a 33 deg beer, which reminds me a bit... More
