not much to add to the title. Also you have the chance to drink what the Guinness book of World Records called the world's strongest beer at 33 - Vetter 33. I did not like it much, I prefer 5% beers :)

I went here for one reason only. That was to drink what the Guinness book of World Records called the world's strongest beer at 33%. I ordered a bottle of Vetter's 33 and drank it down. I am not a fan of dark beer, so as I drank it I imagined motor oil flowing down my throat. I have nothing... More

This was one of the first places in Germany where I drank my first real German beer; only this was the world famous Vetter's 33 and was not for noob like myself. Their 33 was one of the most delicious and strong beers I'd ever tasted in my life. I ordered the jagerschnitzel.......simply delicious. Rich brown gravy with fresh and... More

We went three people and none of us was satisfied by its meal. Without being bad, it wasn't something special. One negative thing is that we saw that the guy in the kitchen was putting little papers with notes (or maybe receipts) for the waitress inside the plates with the meals! And we saw that in one, as he was... More

Excellent beers brewed in house; schnitzel the way you imagine it should be; surrounded by the history of the old town. The service was good. Our waiter spoke great English and brought us English menus. I will visit again if I have the chance.

The beer. That's what's earned this Brauhaus 5 points from me. (If not for the beer, I'd give it probably 4 points.) We had the beer Vetter brews itself (of course), tried the light ('hell' in German) and the wheat (which is darker), and I thought they both tasted pretty good. I like my light beers and I liked Vetter's... More

Recommended by our place where we stayed. Food was great and they are a small Brewery, their Beer is very tasty. The location is amazing, sitting amongst history.

We were here last weekend with friends and had the best beer I've had in Heidelberg so far. It was a Kölsch and tasted simply wonderful. The place has a perfect atmosphere -- we sat outside and had a nice view of the little street in front of us and the gate of the bridge on our right. But the... More

I am a sucker for everything beer related, so when I found this restaurant with their own brewery in the center of Heidelberg, it was an obvious visit. The place is typical german. Brown, friendly athmosphere and meat on the menu. We ate the large bratwurst with sauerkraut. All in all a very good dish. The beer menu consisted of... More

Normally we don't visit the same restaurant twice in one trip, but this place was so good that we had to go back! There was a huge variety of true German foods that tasted AMAZING and their home-brewed beer was great too. They hold the 1994 record of beer with the most alcohol (33%) and their home brews are really... More
