We came off a rough red eye flight from Frankfurt and stopped here on our way to Alsace. It was the perfect cure to our dreary day. The feel and vibe was everything I hoped for with the long communal tables and the dark cellar kinda vibe. The Swabian casserole and Wienerschnitzel were absolutely perfect. It was a great way... We went there because of the recommendations from reviews here. The restaurant was small but the atmosphere makes you feel very welcoming and relax. The restaurant hours are long as they don't have any break between lunch and evening meals which means you can go in any time for a treat. Servers are fluent in English and friendly. They have... This restaurant was Recommended to us by some friends. It is easy to get to. Just off the main pedestrian street. We were not disappointed. The servers were very nice. The place is not huge so you might have to share a table. The portions are massive. Next time I'll share a dish!!!! The quality of the food is very... More

Great bolthole of a place to eat huge serves of authentic, delicious german food. You will not leave here hungry. Good size menu and plenty of drink options. I recommend booking as it is a small restaurant that is very popular both with locals and tourists,

Very quaint and cozy restaurant with a menu full of favourites (for me, at least). Be prepared to share your table with strangers - and have a memorable meal. English-language menus are available. The proprietors are fluent. Those in a rush (or those needing space and privacy) should probably dine elsewhere. However, I would strongly recommend this place to all... More

This little restaurant was a gem of a find. The place is decorated like an old medieval pub from ages gone by, the proprietor is awesome and dresses the part, he even has a leather apron. The food is outstanding (like really, outstanding). We ate here several times during our stay. The shnitzel dishes were a favorite along with the... More

Visited with family. Walked in and the warmth and friendliness hit us straight away - the restaurant was very busy but we waited for a few minutes and were soon ushered to a communal table. Food was great - huge portions and very reasonable. 4 meals plus 2 beers, 2 wines and soft drinks under €100. Chatted to people at... More

Had a wonderful evening at this cellar like venue, and it worked out even better that it was a "weinstube" rather than a beer hall. The warmth hits you as soon as you enter the smallish space and I already had been told when booking that we would be sitting with other people. Our round table near the bar held... More

We tried reserving the same day on a Saturday, but when we called, they were booked. However, the man on the phone encouraged us to come anyhow and he would try his best to fit us in (we were only 2 people). We waited at the bar while enjoying a glass of wine and 10 minutes later, we had seats... More
