As you enter the Schnitzerlbank you feel you've gone back to the medieval ages. Old wooden tables and all sorts of artefacts here and there. I go to this restaurant from time to time for dinner and I can say that due to the fact that there are not many other good restaurants in Heidelberg, this is definitely the best one. The Schnitzels are always cooked in a proper way, the meat is tender. However, last time the Spaetlze could have been better because they... More

The place is really fascinating and cozy, almost to the limit of uncomfortable, since you have to share the table with other people, and sometime the available space is really small. But it's worth the effort, since you can find very genuine local kitchen, a big choice of Schnitzel, spietzli, etc. The price is also really fair.

A very historical place, I like the environment around it. The waiter is so nice and helpful, I love it. Of course the food is very delicious, I ordered the schnitzel, I pretty like it, very special and nice. I will definitely come again!

The restaurant is super nice and very characteristic. It is not very big and at least on Saturday they do not accept reservations, so it can be hard to find a place especially after 19:30. If you are just a couple it could happen to share the table with other couples, so if you are looking for a romantic atmosphere... More

Best place we have dined in Heidelburg - authentic and the tiny place was rustic and bustling with European seating. Food was wonderful and host was constantly tuned in to diners needs. MC and Visa accepted.

Small cozy place. Real authentic food and atmosphere. Owner was a fantastic host and was very helpful when I explained that I had a food allergy and helped me pick out dishes I could have. I will go back.

I have forgotten to control the bill (it wasn' available printed) and therefore I'm not sure to have paid the proper sum. The freshly made food was very good, also the service. The location is not for persons with poor condition because of the long stair-case. Clean, pleasant rooms, good chairs to sit on.

Went to eat and they were packed. The server had no problem squeezing us in. Ordered the turkey snitzle and garlic bread it was mouth watering delicious. Best snitzle ive had in the 2.5 years here in Germany. Even my 3 year old chowed down on it. Highly recommend eating here. Everything I saw come out of the kitchen looked... More
