Thanks for working us in

This is a very popular place to come and when we came in town, we immediately asked for a reservation...none were to be had BUT the kind lady told us we could come back at 5pm (yes it's a little early for dinner but honestly we were done with the city by this point so we welcomed the opportunity... read more

Overall, our food was great. We had garlic schnitzel, grilled sausage, and plain schnitzel. Portions were good, as was the quality. Just a little pricey for me. 3 entrees, 3 drinks, and an appetizer came out to € 51. Service was excellent, she spoke great English. Came by table a few times asking how things were, which was nice! They... More

Candles light the tables of this cozy spot. Be prepared that parties are seated with one another to utilize every seat, so expect to meet some new friends! Outside may include smokers, but inside does not. Portions are huge, so we suggest sharing, or having 2 entrees for 3 people. We loved the schnitzel, and the green beans.

Thanks again trip advisor. Very small place only a few tables so you maybe sitting with other groups. Service was polite, efficient, and energetic. The food was very good and portions were huge. Go hungry and have fun.

The atmosphere, and service are excellent. The menu is a bit limited, and very hearty. Make sure to go when you are hungry.

We dined here tonight as a couple. The very friendly charming staff member sat us with another two couples on a communal table and introduced us. The food was remarkable! I had the cordon blue and she had the house special. And both very remarkable. The wine as well was fantastic. You could not ask for better food and value!

As others have noted this is a real hole in the ground. It appears somewhat dirty but it was packed when I ate there. I had a turkey schnitzel and it was great. There are long tables that you often share but it goes with the atmosphere. For an informal meal reasonably priced meal, good place to go.

My daughter described her meal (the vegetarian one) as magical. She was spot on. The atmosphere was so great. Just great food, incredible staff. The tables were old work tables and pictures and tools were all over the walls. It is small place but we were seated immediately. Everything on the menu is great. We shared everything with our table.

Just recovering from flu so had been off food and drink. Thank goodness for this restaurant. Great atmosphere, cold beer and excellent simple food. Three months eating out all over Europe and this one stands out. It isn't fine dining but very well priced food and drink. Fun atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Went with our party of 5 last night. The place is small but we were seated almost immediately. The atmosphere was lively and friendly and energetic. I had the Knusperschnitzel (breaded pork) which was accompanied by fried potatoes and cabbage all were excellent. Two of us had the Kasespatzle which was cheesy and flavorful. Great food, fun atmosphere and reasonable... More
