Small cozy place. Real authentic food and atmosphere. Owner was a fantastic host and was very helpful when I explained that I had a food allergy and helped me pick out dishes I could have. I will go back.

I have forgotten to control the bill (it wasn' available printed) and therefore I'm not sure to have paid the proper sum. The freshly made food was very good, also the service. The location is not for persons with poor condition because of the long stair-case. Clean, pleasant rooms, good chairs to sit on.

Went to eat and they were packed. The server had no problem squeezing us in. Ordered the turkey snitzle and garlic bread it was mouth watering delicious. Best snitzle ive had in the 2.5 years here in Germany. Even my 3 year old chowed down on it. Highly recommend eating here. Everything I saw come out of the kitchen looked... More

This was a real (great) experience. We arrived without a reservation but were cheerfully included on the basis that we were able to leave by the time of the next reservation. On this basis, the staff made sure that we were able to order quickly and that the meals made it to the table efficiently. The meals were brilliant -... More

We booked a reservation at the last minute, but they accepted it. Clearly they were squeezing us in which was fine. This restaurant is traditional in that you may share a larger table with other customers. They have limited space but make the most of it, so it can be elbow to elbow dinning but no one seems to mind.... More

If I only had time for one meal in Heidelberg this would be the restaurant I'd head for. With a friendly staff, cozy atmosphere and talented kitchen they present beautiful dishes, perfectly prepared and in generous portions. The schnitzel is fantastic, but it also pays to be adventurous and explore other offerings on the menu. As a former cooperage the... More

This is a basically a pub but with wine & german food. The food is excellent, among some of the best we tried while in Germany but, despite reserving weeks in advance, we were **squeezed** between two other couples and next to a rugby? team drinking party so not only was the seating incredibly uncomfortable, the level of noise was... Good tradicional food with fair prices, great staff! The space looks like an old small tavern right in the center of the city!

My husband chose this place and when we entered, there was hardly anyone there. Only one other couple and the interior is rustic. For me, a bit scary...I had to just get used to the setting. I kept asking him over and over if this was the right place. Well it was! Food was delicious here! I ordered the sausages... More

Based on the reviews, we found this restaurant. It's small, quaint and you need to be patient and enjoy the experience. I had the traditional schnitzel (wonderful!) and my husband had the pork shoulder - another great meal. We snagged two seats, which we were lucky to get because this place is small. Be patient with the service - I... More
