Great Schnitzel, lovely and cozy place

Schnitzelbank it´s a small and cozy restaurant, in historic building, the name goes back to the times when it was a cooper`s workshop, that made barrels for the local vintners. This place provided us with the best meal and best atmosphere we came across while traveling across Bavaria. The owner was fantastic; attentive and incredibly nice. The place will always be packed - just expect it. You can go early or late in the evening to have a shorter wait. We enjoyed it so much that we went back again... More

After seeing all of the great Trip advisor reviews of Schnitzelbank I decided this would be the perfect place to take my family whilst they were over visiting me in Heidelberg, and I wasn't wrong! We hadn't booked a table and when we first entered the restaurant we were turned away as it was full, however luckily for us as... More

The Schnitzelbank is in an ancient barrel making shop, complete with some of the old work tables and tools. It is a small, crowded, raucous place with very friendly service and very good food in quite large portions. My Art Haus Schnitzel was extremely good and very reasonably priced. This is a truly fun place to visit in the middle... More

A fun spot, great food, nice wine - super evening. This is a small, tightly packed place, where you may "have" to interact with your fellow diners. Great atmosphere, good, substantial and tasty food. Simply a fun place to eat and enjoy.

This is comfort food at its best; one of the best meals of our trip. Don't come expecting a hushed dining room; this is a small pub that does food where you're more than likely be sharing a table with others when its busy. A mixed lively crowd of tourists and locals.Made to feel really welcome. We ordered starters...a big... More

We had garlic bread, onion soap, and steak with potatoes. All was good except that the steak was more medium than well done

A great place to have some food at, it is small and might no be suitable for people that don't like small places, but the food is great, they have great selection of salads and meats, also various vegetarian dishes. They have a good wine selection and the service was fantastic, very nice and kind and all of them spoke... More
