Nice!

Hidden in a corner of town, by the small stream making the surrounding scene really peaceful. On entering the bar, the huge and I mean HUGE brewery sits right in the middle greeting its patrons.. Awesome sight! The beer brew is light, easy and tasty. Food wise, ok, nothing much to shout nor... read more

Great locally produced beer and simple (but quality) food. Reservation almost essential, although there is the possibility to sit in the bar area. Food is typically German - meat lovers you will be in your element. Simple, good quality and reasonable prices. Very popular with locals and students ... it's almost always busy. A great place to meet friends, just... More

Although the place was crowded and my schnitzel and chips was one hour late, I really enjoyed its beer!

Staff friendly and helpful. Perfectly clean and tidy in beautiful surroundings. Cannot fault it. One more thing. I'm happy to recommend the hot chocolate with amaretto. Stefan the waiter was clearly the most proactive and helpful. They were all good but he stood out above the rest. Enjoy.

Unless you are German the chap behind the bar was not interested! In all fairness it was a busy night, but unhelpful staff did not alleviate the packed bar.

Was extremely impressed with this place. Had it's own local beer brewed on the spot which was excellent. Easy to get a table. The food was exquisite. Will happily definitely come there again.

Very nice brewery with local beer (quite light), busy place full of Freiburger and tourists alike, very efficient and polite service. A few plates of food that looked and smelt delicious if you don't want to drink on an empty stomach. Really nice atmosphere.
