Nothing to fault here - thoughtful and well-prepared dishes with some real touches of flair here and there but not in a way that detracts from the quality of the food. Outside, tables overlook one of Freiburg's more charming street scenes. Inside, the room balances cosy and charming - remaining light and airy despite the grey leather and wood panelling.... More

We ate at Wolfshohle on June 25th, 2 couples. We had a table outside, the street is beautiful and the atmosphere is great. the food was extra ordinary, not only that the plates and the serving looks amazing it is also very tasty (we took the 4 course surprise menu offered by the chef). The service was professional and excellent... More

Had lunch here, which was very good, top notch in fact. As was the service. The only downside is the price. I paid 50 euros for soup, a main course (fish and asparagus risotto) and an espresso. Would have given 5 stars, but I'm not sure if the price level is realistic. Would still recommend though!

We ate at Wolfshöhle on January 2nd, in the midst of holiday reveries and this was one of the highlights of our two week stay in Freiburg. Despite its modern furnishings, the room we were seated in was much cosier than the online photos made it appear. We were attended to by three different members of the waiting staff throughout... Me and my Girlfriend (mid twenty) visited prior a lot of good and exquisit restaurants around europe. But Wolfshöhle really is worth a visit! We are from Basel - Switzerland, so its only a 40min drive to Freiburg. The location is very sweet, calm and lovely, placed in the "oldtown". We had a nice table for two in the center... More

We visited this nice restaurant again to find that the food has further improved, and this from an already high standard. The service is attentive and very friendly. The settings are such that you still have a certain privacy, the only drawback is wooden floor, walls and ceiling which increases the noise level somewhat when the restaurant is well frequented.... As every year, we visited Freiburg's Christmas Market and decided to try something new for dinner. The restaurant is in a historical building, nicely redone with wooden panelling and various rooms. We knew it would not be cheap, but in a restaurant of this class we were expecting a table cloth and not to eat at a bare wooden table... More

After a very friendly welcome we enjoyed an excellent meal and wonderful wines - an all around wellness program: Definitely in the French-influenced "new German cuisine" mode, but with interesting local touches including amazingly fresh vegetables and salad greens from local sources. Interior benefits from a successful combination of tradition and modernity. Excellent cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. Given the... More
