Great Authentic Local Food

We went as a family of 5 for lunch. The restaurant was busy but we were soon seated and help was offered in recommendations. The food arrived within a reasonable time and was absolutely wonderful. Three of us shared the house specialty platter, which is fantastic for meat lovers. A little pricey... read more

Great food! It has a brat atmosphere. The waiters are dressed traditional German outfits. The Nerberger sausages are great. So is the spatzle. The apple strudel is amazing! They have a large outdoor patio and that is a great place to sit. You will not regret eating here. It is a must when visiting Baden Baden

My husband loved his meatball dinner with cabbage and potatoes ( he thought he hated cabbage but loved the type with is meal) my kartoffelrosti with mixed veg was good but the veggies were not fresh. He drinks vodka soda which is not a recognized cocktail in many parts of Europe. He had 2 which they charge 5 euros for... More

Lost in the city of Baden and longing for sone Bavarian food. This is the place. For the beer anyway. The Lowenbrau beer is among the finest in the world. Food here is a disappointment though. The ribs I had where not warm enough and other dishes don't rise above the roadside restaurant level.

Always go here or twice when in Baden Baden. We call it our refectory. Good beer and typical german fare, Schnitzels and plenty of pork and all at a damn good price

The Loewenbraeu is so enchanting visually around the Christmas holidays, just like the rest of Baden-Baden. This was my second trip to Baden-Baden and I didn't have time to stop in here on the first trip, so I made it a priority on the second. Aside from the pumpkin soup, which was delicious, the food was mediocre (and having just... More

Visited this restaurant in June 2014, only just catching up on some reviews. The food is wholesome and typical German, you need to be hungry to cope with some of the dishes on offer. The beer is, as expected, very good. The atmosphere is great, served by waiters in leather shorts and socks, ok, its for the tourists but who... More

This was as close to a beer hall as you are going to find in Baden-Baden. The food wasn't very good, but I'd go back just for the big beers.
