We were drawn in by the cute Beer Garden and the decorations. We were even more pleased with the meal! The servers wear traditional Lederhosen and are friendly. Many languages spoken. Great beer and food. The goulash hit the spot on a cold day. Definitely recommend!!

The atmosphere was as expected, nice and Bavarian. Small intimate tables in differensiert levels add to the experience. The rind on the Sweinshaxe, however, should have been more crisp to make it perfect.

Usually packed during Reinsurance Week. It had lashed down earlier so managed to get a table at short notice. Food is good without been inspiring. Beer excellent (as it is in Germany). Staff are polite. I had beef in red wine which came with a salad. It was good nothing special Its not cheap but for a large party at... More

Overall I liked this place: good location, atmosphere, quite good traditional german food. We ordered 2 beers (of course)), a dish of fried potato & sausages & sour cabbage, and a pumpkin soup (try it, it's pretty good). One portion could be enough for two. I liked the soup very much. Beer, potatoes and cabbage were also good enough. We... More

Normal German fare, correctly done. The setting is quite pleasant, on a terrace with mature trees, slightly elevated above the street. My schweinebraten (roast pork) had no skin, but was otherwise okay. Tried the Dunkel (dark) beer, which was very good. (If you don't specify the size when ordering, they will automatically give you a large stein, which is over... More

Cute biergarten. Trees with white twinkling lights... Very nice. We were here during Oktoberfest, so they had great fest bier. It was more expensive here than volks fest in Stuttgart, almost as bad as Oktoberfest in Munich. Water was €4.5 / 0.5l. €1.5 pretzel. €5.3 .5l bier (a bit more for fest bier). But it's a legit bier garden in... More

We remembered this restaurant/beer garden from a visit 4 years ago. We've had beer and wine here the past three nights, and are getting ready to visit again tonight. I always order the the liter mass, vom fass. Now serving the Oktoberfest brew, which I find great. We've had beautiful autumn weather this week, perfect for long evenings in the... More

We were walking our way back to our hotel and decided to stop at every pub that was open. We got to the Lowenbrau at around 10pm and wanted to sit outside to have a beer. We were told that the outdoor seating was closed. So we went into the bar area and sat down. It seemed as if we... More

Convenient location and great for people-watching. Expensive - that location comes at a premium. Tasty German fare. Very, very disappointed that the lager, which was Loewenbraeu's Oktoberfest beer and was recommended by the waiter (he suggested you'd be mad to choose any other beer), had not been looked after well. It was flat and lifeless, as if it had been... More

What you expect from a "biergarten". Music, little white lights and good service. The 'hocksen" or large ham hock was delicious. We ate here twice, and both meals were very good. Eat outdoors if weather permits, if not, they have a large indoor area.
