Friendly, comfortable and great food. I would eat here again. The wine selection is really great -- very nice having some Spanish options. I appreciated the friendly service. I had the mushrooms in a creamy tomato sauce and the escalopine wrapped in prosciutto. I'm not sure of the Spanish names for these dishes, but they were both great!

Great selection of tapas - hot and cold! Fresh flavors and delicious cocktails. Enjoyed the meatballs, dates wrapped in bacon, purée of avocado, sardines, and chicken liver.

My wife and I ate a lovely meal here one evening during our recent stay in Baden Baden. We saw it as we were wandering the city during the day and went back for a meal because we fancied something a little different. Staff were great, good service, and the tapas dishes were really good. Not badly priced for Baden... More

Cozy restaurant with a very nice and warm atmosphere. The selection of tapas is good. For those that have been to tapas restaurants in the Mediterranean, the selection may seem limited and possibly tailored too much for local tastes. But, I think it provides a nice mix of variety and is a wonderful alternative to the usual German restaurants in... More

My husband and I stumbled upon Monte Cristo on a Saturday night. We arrived around 7:15 with no reservation, but they were able to fit us in at the bar (note: the bar only has 4 seats, bar seating may not always be available if they have a lot of walk-ins). They were accommodating to have English menus for us... More

I was interested in looking at reviews once we returned because we couldn't figure out why I had searched out this place to eat. Service was nice, but the tapas were not interesting in any way. Cheese was not distinctive, I didn't see many of the items folks described so maybe it was an off night???? I would not eat... More

We got here early since we did not have a reservation. Fortunately the restaurant accommodated us, but it filled up quickly with diners. The wait staff was friendly and spoke decent English. We ordered a variety of tapas, and were impressed by the generous portions. There were so many excellent and creative choices of tapas to choose from and reasonable... More

We ate in a few restaurants in Baden Baden and this was the best by quite some margin. Good atmosphere, Great food and excellent wine. Well worth a visit!

This was one of the best tapas bars that I've been to in Germany. They had some traditional tapas, and some more inventive ones (using Spanish ingredients in a way that I haven't seen in Spain: i.e. jamon, manchego and pesto grilled in a flat bread). The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The red wines by the... More

This Tapas restaurant has relatively large portions for a Tapas bar. There were many wines by the glass. I do recommend that you book early. Besides the tables - which were all full when I was there, there are about 4 places at the bar itself. So, it does fill up, so probably best to book ahead.
