This restaurant is close to downtown. It is super casual, but the food and wine are both top notch. The wait staff know their wines- let them help select.

Found this place through trip advisor. definitely worth a visit! Very good service and delightful atmosphere. The food was very good and the desserts are amazing! Wines are really reasonably priced yet very good quality. An absolute must to visit!

Having been to Baden on numerous occasions I had never chanced upon this restaurant given that it's tucked down a side street. We phoned the night before to book based on Tripadvisor reviews and the owner went and found a friend who spoke English who took the booking and assured me we would have very good food. He was not... Ate here based on trip advisor reviews. The restaurant was very busy the night we attended and the staff while friendly seemed rushed. The four of us agreed that the food was just OK, nothing special. Wine choices seemed limited. Try Rizzi just down the street instead.

My wife and I visited this restaurant in Sept 2014. We didn't have reservations but did manage to get a seat for 2. I would highly recommend reservations as they did turn away everyone that did NOT have a reservation after we got in and some people were booking 3 days in advance. And lots of the people that did... All I can say is superb. This is french provincial Alsatian cooking at its very best. The starters were classic and the chateau briande of fresh local produce with superbly cooked local beef was the best we had eaten since last in Alsace. This is not german cooking but passionate french cooking. Mein host is affable and recommends the best... More

A pleasant host who is happy to help translate menus if necessary. Food was good if perhaps little heavy. The restaurant is obviously popular and well attended. The bench style seats are not ideal as if the person along from you moves/bounces, you move with them! We enjoyed our visit but thought other restaurants nearby were better value.

Once again, I find Tripadvisor reviews a poor guide to acceptable dining. I don't know what these other reviewers ate, but I had roast suckling pig, their zupposed specialty of the day, and it was ocercooked, tough, dry, and utterly tasteless. The skin, which is supposed to be crisp, was like taffy. The potato salad was equally insipid. When I... More

We dined here on our last night, not wanting to miss a place that attracted such favourable reviews. We weren't disappointed. Luckily we had reserved a table by phone. Shortly after we were seated the restaurant quickly filled. Many would be patrons had to be turned away. Mein host Schneider welcomed us most hospitably and from time to time throughout... More

Herr Schneider welcomed us at the door, and took great pains to ensure we understood his menu (even though he provided an excellent written English translation). Although not overly hungry, he charmed us into buying a pre-dinner drink and an entrée (starter), both of which were lovely. The mains were both hearty and delicious. I had suckling pig and my...
