Good food, but a bit noisy

We drove for just under two hours to Valence for a day trip for my birthday to have lunch out and visit the recently refurbished museum. It wasn't easy to choose a restaurant as the reviews were not consistently good. We opted for Le Sept as we thought it oretty safe. There are very good parking... read more

We are by no means regulars, but stop in three or four times per year, and never disappointed. It really is a kind of very chic Diner, with a "motoring" theme based on the historic National 7 road on which it is located, the French Route 66. The welcome is jovial, the service, superb, and the "Diner" food original, beautifully... More

I was looking forward to experiencing the cuisine of the only 3 Michelin star female chef in France ( Anne Sophie Pic).I decided to check out her bistro first rather than the restaurant as a friend was arriving in Valence the following day & I thought we would return. I booked for dinner in person & when I arrived at... More

Ate here on a Sunday night as the main restaurant at Pic is closed Sundays. The restaurant was very busy and service was a combination of amateurish and snooty. The regular menu had many interesting choices, but our package at the hotel included a fixed price menu. Choices were very limited and a bit "out there". The food was tasty,... More

We had not reserved and were apologetically shown to secluded table with no umbrella - none was needed. Service was formal but cheerful and attentive. Delicious mise-en-bouche, followed by delicious main and dessert. A truly lovely oasis on a very hot journey.

When this place first opened it was very good. Now it is like eating at Macdonalds. Within seconds of sitting down a small dish with an amuse bouche was put in front of us. The couple who arrived at the table next to ours even had it put down before they had taken off their coats and sat at the... More

It was a great experience eating in a Michelin start restaurant. The food ordered by our host was awesome and the wine selection was up to the mark. We had a great dinner at this place.

We stopped on on our way down South, and we didn't regret it. We had just the formule at 30EUR with entrée, plat principal et fromage/dessert, and all was well made, good to look at AND tasty. We had a pumkin velouté, cabillaud with Camargue rice and a wonderful variation de , The delicious bread was warm and came in... More

We go often to this bistro. Excellent food, service and wine. Kids enjoy the food, especially the presentation is execellent. A bit at the high end but worth the money. Always make reservation to avoid disappointment.
