Some visitors to Val d'sere dont bother about going way over left to Le Fornet. They have made a mistake. Skiing at Le Fornet is world class, as is Edelweiss restaurant. Put in a big morning skiing. Then spend lots of euros on a late lunch at Edelweiss. Sit outside and watch the parapunte fliers circle overhead as you drink... More

Wonderful lunch and wine with ski instructor and friends. To get there it is necessary to ski down the most horrendous slope rated blue. So under classified. However service and food once there were spectacular so if you are comfortable skiing reds then try and visit here. Best to book. Set lunch Euro 23.50 for entree and plat du jour... More

Great, really beautiful ski lodge restaurant that now has a new sun room area. Super food and service, fabulous wine list. Expensive for lunch but worth it.

Great restaurant at the Le Fornet end of Val d'Isere which served good quality food that I didn't mind paying the ridiculous Val prices for !! Sunny until about 1.30 at January time of year so you could sit outside or alternatively a great roaring log burning fire inside.

Table of 4 booked and we had the three course set lunch, vvv tasty, great service and good wine selection. Don't just turn up or you'll have to sit outside book up.

To start with, Le Fornet ski area sits at one end of Val d'Isere. Secondly, on the day we decided to go, most of the Espace Killy was closed due to a combination of high winds and heavy snow. Sparing you the details of how we navigated the half closed resort to find a place we'd never been to, I... More

Val d'Isere has several very good on pist restaurant but this one is in the most beautiful setting; the chalet is so cosy. Prices are not over the top (25/30€ for main courses). We had an excellent tajine and travers de cochon. We did no test deserts but they look good. My preferred restaurant in the Val d'Isere/Tignes skiing area.

We come to L'Edelweiss year upon year during the ski season and it just gets better! Stunning views surround you whilst you eat most delicious food and sip on some hot chocolate. The menu is varied and there is something for everyone; guaranteed. I recommend booking as it gets very busy at lunch times! Worth every penny!

Amazing food half way down a blue run, with great views. Service is second to none. I had rabbit stew with polenta which was fantastic

My wife and I love this place. We first eat here sneakily whilst our first two children were in ski school and creche down in Val D'Isere. I think we had linguine with scallops followed by crumble, a glass or two of wine and a marc de Savoie- skied a bit then came back for hot chocolate. We haven't skied... More
