Great place for fondue

Went here during our stay and had fondue whixh was good and the service was also good. In terms of competition to the fondue there's a place next door called le lodge whose fondue I think is better. Le casserole is definitely worth a visit and I will definitely go back.

We visited Le a Casserole on the day when all of the chalet hosts go off so there is a mad scramble for restaurant reservations. We fancied a fondue as it's a little tradition of ours to do this when we go skiing. Le Casserole is classic in its look (all wood and traditional furniture) and delivered on what what... More

A massive bucket of casserole as a main course for both of us at a price that is reasonable for the area. Found the staff as attentive as needed, please remember the French dont throw food out at Mach 9, the meal is an occasion. Wednesday will be more rushed as this is Ski staff off day so make allowances.... More

This is a great restaurant for hearty alpine food. It has not changed over the years. Good simple food for reasonable prices in a bustling fun environment

This is a nice place for lunch if you can't get on the mountain because of weather or injury. We had a problem with a bottle of wine and they replaced it without fuss, which was appreciated. Really nice country style French food big portions. Quite a traditional regional menu and nice selection of wine, we liked the Croze Heitage,... More

What better than a cosy night with friends over a traditional raclette after a day on the slopes? It thats what you're looking for, La Casserole will provide exactly that in the small rooms - with an unusually friendly service (for France in high season) and a very reasonable value for money level.

Had a really excellent meal here although the main course took a long time to arrive. All kinds of options including fondu, raclette etc. We had a selection of the casseroles. Very big portions which could be shared 1 between 2 especially if you have a starter.

Although we booked and were shown straight to our table the waiter didn't even offer us a drink for 25 minutes so that was frustrating. The food was lovely and very good value for money.

We had excellent meals at this restaurant when we visited Val D'Isere in 2014 so were interested to see how much it had changed with new owners. The answer - hardly at all! The restaurant has a great selection of Alpine dishes and good value wine list. We visited at lunchtime and although the restaurant was not busy, the service... More
