A calm and almost serene atmosphere in the restaurant belied the quality of the food that emerged from the kitchen. Everything tasted superb, and was presented by exceptionally knowledgable but friendly staff. The style and quality is undeniable. Well worth a visit.

As an experienced gourmet traveller, I have high expectations when it come to a 3 Michelin-star restaurant, and can say that Emmanuel Renaut is up there with the very best world class chefs. I booked an "Immersion" for two, which involves spending the morning in the kitchen with the brigade so as to have a backstage experience, before enjoying a... More

We were looking so forward to our dinner here. Overall, it was a big disappointment -- particularly compared to previous times we had eaten here. Are they getting too comfortable with their Michelin rating? Or are standards more relaxed during low season? Surely a better effort could be made on both the food and services fronts... We had a few... More

...Michelin that is Emmanuel Renauld (“Manu” as our pedant limousine driver called him familiarly while saying good night as we were leaving – Manu is a local hero and everyone around the posh resort loves him and take pride if they happen to be on first name basis) does an amazing job of taking one on a fantastic culinary trip... We have been to quite a few of the rare 3 star Michelin restaurants in Europe and this comes second but only just. El Celler de Can Roca in Girona, Spain edges it for sheer theatre. Sorry Emmanuel! That said, Emmanuel RENAUT fully deserves his titles of 'Meilleur Ouvrier de France' and 'Compagnon du Tour de France'. Set on the... More

The restaurant is beautiful and the food is very good. I have eaten here both winter and summer and must say that I found the food better and more creative during the ski season. The service was efficient and not overbearing as one would expect. We have been fortunate enough to have eaten at several Michelin-starred restaurants and this would... More

This was one of the most memorable, tasty and satisfying meals I have ever experienced at a 3-Michelin star restaurant! My husband and I chose the degustation menu consisting of 10 servings. Being relatively picky eaters, we were expecting to actually like only about half of the courses. To our delight, we enjoyed every dish; in particular, the "morilles" (morels... More

For skiers, Megève is not a-only the place with beautiful slopes covered with snow but also a gastronomic place. But there is only one who can be the best: Le Flocon de Sel. A few kilometres in the mountains you will find an absolutely marvellous restaurant (take a taxi). Three Michelin stars are well deserved. For three stars you need... More
