A simple lunch on the run. Warmly welcomed, quickly served, deliciously satisfied! Bla Bla Bla Bla Try it out!

Lovely restaurant with a fantastic owner. The food was so tasty and the wine really good - all at an excellent price. We were given a discount from ordering from the a la carte which gave us more choice. I would highly recommend this restaurant for food and wine quality, price and ambience - delightful!

Five of us had dinner here a few days ago. We were a little disappointed. This restaurant has received very high ratings from Tripadvisor, but we felt the food was average overall. My steak with peppercorns was good, but the veal and the fish were average. Not bad, but nothing special. My wife, who believes that food from the kitchen... More

As many people have written, the food here is good. In my opinion it isn't good enough to justify its position in the Lyon rankings, but it's good nonetheless. The thing which ruined the evening for me was being hugely overcharged for very poor wine. On ordering the more expensive of the two available Beaujolais wines, we were told there... More

My friends and I had an excellent meal here. The food is delicious and well priced (we each had the 3-course EUR23 menu). The owner was very welcoming and spoke good English. He helped us select our wine, had a long talk with us about our trip in France. Highly recommended.

My husband, our 2-year-old daughter and I showed up at Aux 3 Gaules at 7 p.m. on a Saturday without a reservation and the host graciously found a table for us. We were fortunate to be put seated upstairs where the entertaining band started playing about an hour into our meal. My husband and I both ordered a 3 course... More

An inviting ambiance and an attentive patron passionate about his cuisine, this was an experience that I WILL be repeating! Between the 6 of us, we had everything on the menu (€23). La soupe de poisson was absolutely extraordinary as well as la terrine de foie gras (high quality) and la fricassée de grenouille. Our main course was just as... More

We went after reading the raving reviews on Tripadvisor and I must say I was slightly disappointed. The ambience isn't very French- it was a bit cold and looked a bit like a cafeteria. Also, the place is half a bar with live music and half a restaurant so with a table next to the bar there were people always... More

I went for a dinner here with a few friends, based on the TripAdvisor reviews I wanted to eat in a nice place with not exorbitant prices. I'd passed by the restaurant a few times while walking up the Croix Rousse hill and was intrigued. Although the cellist who had been supposed to play in a trio and accompany our... More

We went here to celebrate our engagement with a party of 13. The maitre'd was very friendly and accommodating for our group. The presentation of the food is excellent, not the rustic simplicity you find in a bouchon, more of a gourmet style. Everything tasted great, but nothing was over-the-moon good. They were very friendly in negotiating the chaos of... More
