Do you like great food and don't like being stuck in a tourist trap? Can't recommend L'Ourson Qui Boit enough. It's hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Lyon. The owners (yound japanese couple) are extremely nice and friendly, the menu keeps changing everytime i go and it's always delicious. The food is french classics with a japanese twist... More

We searched Trip Advisor before setting out on our holiday to France and loved the reviews of l'Ourson qui Boit. It sounded light and fresh and that is what we enjoy. Sometimes France is the opposite and we did not want to get bogged down in some expensive heavy with the creamy sauces type of French restaurant. It was hard... More

The shining freshness, characteristic to Japanese cuisine, gives a new, refreshed taste and look to dishes based somhow on the lyonnaise cuisine. A nice fusion which will please your palate!

It is not touristic place and I liked the fact a lot! The food was very tasty and the service was fine for the reasonable price! We had a lunch there and I fell in love with cold soup with shrimps! The only minus was that it is a bit far from main attractions but it is worth visiting. Do... More

A wonderful place with delicious food period! I was delighted with the actual creativity of each dish which emphasizes not only on taste but on presentation. Serving nouvelle cuisine is hard to come by these days and having fresh food, well, that is of the utmost importance in my book. They did a great job in stimulating my taste buds... More

The chef is a true artist. So much work seems to go into each dish. So lucky to have access to such a restaurant in Lyon. One important piece of advice: reserve well in advance if you would like a table for an evening meal.

The food was nouvelle cuisine, very innovative. It was nicely served on beautifully-shaped porcelain and the food went well with them. It was delicious and excellent for my taste. For all these niceties, the price was reasonable and the staff very efficient and polite. A must-experience for people with low budget and yet dine with style.

Four friends and I dined here our last night in Lyon and after three rather traditional though wonderful dinners at more traditional lyonnais restaurants, we were a little apprehensive about the concept of a French/Japanese fusion restaurant. We needn't have been. Our dining experience was wonderful from start to finish. The wait staff are all Japanese (French, with a Jaanese... More

The restaurant is small but the food is excellent. There is only a fixed menu with only 2 choices in each category (not a la carte), so you better like what they have that day (we did). What we had was excellent, and the service was prompt. Recommended.

After reading the all of the effusive reviews about L'Ourson Qui Boit, my friends and I were very eager to give it a try. We had to make a reservation weeks in advance, and we were slightly worried that the food wouldn't live up to the hype. But after my first bite of my amuse bouche, I knew we were... More
