We tried to make a reservation three weeks ago....they were fully booked until now. Modern minimalistic decor but pleasant. We were in the little room to the side and I think this is best....the larger room was a bit noisy. Service was good, although maybe a bit slow. But lots if smiles! Very small menu, only two choices, one meat,... More

We went Sat lunch with my friends. Easily find the restaurant, as already described, here Japanese-French restaurant. What I found was the price is reasonable. The chef performs well, and nice idea. Probably for Japanese, it would be very helpful because one can order in Japanese although they don't have menu in English (perhaps also Japanese). What was bad was... More

My heart is divided - honestly. I should give this restaurant a rather "average" rating - so that it becomes less crowded than now, and that we can go more often there and get a table - which is very very difficult now ! That would be the selfish decision. Why is that so hard? Well, it is simply astounding... More

What an amazing fusion of Japanese and French cuisine. Mushroom Ice Cream and Fruit Soup were two of the pleasant surprises I had eating here. The food is very reasonably priced as well as great, so try and book a couple of weeks in advance to ensure you get a reservation.

The only negative point about this restaurant is the difficulty in getting a reservation. The food is excellent, most tasty, surprising and not at all traditional. The dining room has wonderful minimalist decor. The service is efficient and friendly, unlike many of the restaurants in Lyon. The prices are very reasonable given the high quality of the food! Do make... More

Do you like great food and don't like being stuck in a tourist trap? Can't recommend L'Ourson Qui Boit enough. It's hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Lyon. The owners (yound japanese couple) are extremely nice and friendly, the menu keeps changing everytime i go and it's always delicious. The food is french classics with a japanese twist... More

We searched Trip Advisor before setting out on our holiday to France and loved the reviews of l'Ourson qui Boit. It sounded light and fresh and that is what we enjoy. Sometimes France is the opposite and we did not want to get bogged down in some expensive heavy with the creamy sauces type of French restaurant. It was hard... More

The shining freshness, characteristic to Japanese cuisine, gives a new, refreshed taste and look to dishes based somhow on the lyonnaise cuisine. A nice fusion which will please your palate!

It is not touristic place and I liked the fact a lot! The food was very tasty and the service was fine for the reasonable price! We had a lunch there and I fell in love with cold soup with shrimps! The only minus was that it is a bit far from main attractions but it is worth visiting. Do... More
