Best meal in Lyon!

My husband and I have spent two weeks in Lyon trying a new place for dinner each night. With its whopping 6 courses (two palate cleansers - one with clams and one lemon sorbet with thyme), this meal was the best! Almost every single course was superb. My only minor complaint is that the booth seats... read more

Returned two nights after initial visit. Friendly staff, good food and very reasonable price (E150 for four including wine). Duck was excellent, as also lentil, herring and smoked salmon terrine. Stick to prix fixe menus.

My wife and I dined here on Friday 23rd October 2015. We called in earlier that evening and were lucky enough to get the last available table. We both enjoyed our meal immensely (various set menus available at differing costs)- typical Lyonnaise faire done very well. Would definitely recommend but better to book in advance!

The first time we went to this restaurant we could not get a table because we had not booked. We are very glad we persevered and went back two more times. It would have been more if we had stayed in Lyon longer. This is the kind of food you hope to find in France. The menu is small but... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends who accompanied us. I have to say I'd been put off by reviews about unfriendly staff but these appeared to refer mainly to lunchtime experiences and we were there in the evening. Our waitress was delightful but it definitely helped that our friends had been there several times before. We were very... More

We fell in love with our waitress from the start. She was warm, engaging and oh, so cute. She tried her English and we tried our French. We had heard we should have reservations and we were glad we did. They do not open until 7:45. Our table was ours for the evening. So don't be in a hurry when... More

This was our favourite restaurant in Lyon. It was recommended by a friend and didn't disappoint. The restaurant is friendly, homely even, and the food is excellent. Be prepared for the amuse bouche and the sorbe challenge. We enjoyed our meal so much that we came back on our last evening in Lyon

Lonely Planet had mentioned this restaurant as a gourmet experience, but we just happened upon it was we were exploring Vieux Lyon - very traditional exterior, the tables arranged in two rows down either side of the room. We weren't sure what we were getting into, and surprised that everyone seemed to arrive within the first half hour of opening.... More

If you want to eat what locals eat in atmosphere of Old Lyon, look no further than Les Adrets. The food is simple, and does not try to impress, but never fails to surprise and always delivers. Everything on the menu tastes good. Over years we've tried most of the dishes and always enjoyed them. This is family restaurant, and... More

We were first in at 8.00 pm on a Griday, but by the time we had finished two hours later it was standing room only. There are a choice of menus, we had the mid priced €35 which seemed to have a good balance. We were not disappointed - the whole meal was first rate, no complaints at all, and... More
