Food, service and atmosphere were all good as it usually is in France. I also love finding such decent food for kids as well (as opposed to the nuggets and French fries). Train traveling above you is a nice attraction.

I know this is a Paul Bocuse restaurant but the food was just average for France. The place was very crowded and we had the impression that this was a big factory to make alot of money . The souffle was indeed very good, the service was also very professional and the train running around the ceiling was quite cute.... More

In the old train station of les Brotteaux, this restaurant has an amazing venue. The food is amazing and the price is correct for this kind of food. I always go there with friends or family when I go back to Lyon.

We live in France, and sadly finding a good restaurant is not as easy as you'd think. If you want a good restaurant at a reasonable price I recommend travelling to Lyon, in my view it is the culinary centre of France. As for L'Est, this is the place we, as a family choose to go when it's time to... More

We went to L'Est with 2 other couples on Friday night. We found the atmosphere busy and the lighting bright as was expected. The service was friendly and efficient. What was very disappointing was the food. Starter was a nice Foie Gras escalope but far too much polenta and not enough Foie Gras. The main was the real let down.... More

This place for all establishments. A great with a well educated and friendly staff. The food was very good but not very special or significant. I had a business lunch here and was very impressed with the atmosphere and location. I highly recommend this to everybody.

If you are staying near Lyon's Part Dieu train station or in that section of town, this is a nice, tourist/ business dinner friendly restaurant with a very large dining room and a lively atmosphere. It is not similar to the traditional quaint Lyonnaise bouchons that are plentiful in the central part of the city, between the rivers. We had... More

Brasserie L'Est came highly recommended and, was one of the limited amount of restaurants open on a Sunday in October in Lyon. Made early reservations for 7 pm. Found the restaurant easily and were seated right away. The kitchen seemed to be staffed well but the service staff, at arrival, was limited to two servers and a host. Service was... More

Second visit however my first impression was washed away with the less than friendly service. We were a table of three enjoying the cool evening air on their spacious patio when the waiter dropped our menus on the table like we didn't belong. Perhaps it was an act to be like the snooty french waiter, which he played well. He... More
