Good restaurant, great service

This place was a nice last meal in France. It was a chance to see people doing what they love. The food was great but after an entire trip in France, it was not the best meal I had, that said, it was also not the most expensive.

The service is fine even if at the end they tricky on the gratuity which is NOT OBLIGED. The food is good but nothing to justify a Chef called Bocuse; the wines are fine but SERVED ON AWFUL GLASSES ... Prices are fair To go just for the atmosphere

Well, this place is a must to be if you want to discover the 'Esprit brasserie'. This is one of our favorite place in Lyon (the town where we live).

The food was average but the environment was cute with a little train that circles around the venue up top. I do think that the place is a bit overpriced.

This is a big place and the service was good, but honestly i expected more from the food, it was not bad but nothing extra ordinary and the starter i had was kind of weird like tons of Serrano that filled the whole plate but nothing else to it? It's like you went to the supermarkert and bought some and... More

Went there on 2nd of january, it was packed and service was very good, from the moment we arrived to the end. When they saw my older mum not working properly, they changed our table for a closer one. Good choices on the menu, evrythiing is fresh, very testy and big portion. Scalops and parmesan risotto was delicious, and so... More

The place is apparently owned by a famous French chef and it is promoted as an upscale place. However service is questionable (after 1:20h since we seat no one came to ask us what dessert we wanted to order). The place is over-crowded: there is just no space to move between tables. I had the waiter collecting the order talking... More

This is one of four brasseries Paul Bocuse opened in Lyon. East, West, South and North, they serve different French regional food. Brasserie l"est serves very delicious food in what is quite relaxed yet not too informal setting. Alas, for some reason, the service does not match that in other three sister restaurants. We have visited this place a couple... More

This is a really infamous restaurant because it's supposed to follow the traditions of the best known chef in Lyon Paul Bocusse (who supports the project). Problem is that it's really hard to find any restaurant in Lyon that doesn't cook great. I had great expectations for this place, and I was impressed by the environment, the cuisine, the style... This place was recommended to us by a native Lyonnaise, and we were so excited in anticipation. First impressions are extremely important - we were greeted by typically rude front service, who seemed rather disappointed we actually had a booking and they couldn't turn us away. Then when asked if we would like to dine inside or outside, when we... More
