BAD SERVICE

This place came recommended by locals. The food was quite good, but the positive stops there. This resto seats a lot of people, I would say over 100. It's very very loud and not in a "good atmosphere" way. The French's reputation for, low-quality service was well maintained in t his... read more

Bad Service and boring food. They seem to be annoyed by foreign customers. Food was pretty expensive for what little you get.

Well myself, my niece, and a friend went to this restaurant with the recommendation of our tour guide. We were greatly disappointed with quality, quantity, and service. We went in at 7:45 and we didn't leave until 9:45. We saw everybody get served and leave the restaurant before we started eating anything. And we only ordered the Entrees and not... More

L'Est is one of Paul Bocuse's many restaurants We had a 3 course set menu with coffee, dessert but no wine. The meal was good but not remarkable, we were expecting more flavor The cost was 109.79 euros. The desserts were delicious - chocolate volcano and strawberries and cream.

We were staying across the road and had Brasserie L'est recommended to us. There was a large menu and we were directed to the 3 course dinner for € 26 where you could choose between 2 dishes for each course. We were very happy with our varied selections and the service was outstanding, delighted to have two waiters who had both... More

I wanted to invite my friends to say thank you for an awesome time in Lyon and asked them to chose a very French place. So we went to this place! It is better if you book as it is usually packed. From the moment you walk in, the conversations, smells, and visuals hit you with an incredible force: it... More

An energetic, pleasant room with an electric train running around the edge of the ceiling, this is clearly a favourite for local and not as expensive as one might expect.

Overall food was average. The meat was a bit overcooked and in general the items were very salty. Great lively atmosphere and acceptable service.

The Bocuse Brasseries (each named after one of the points of the compass) serve excellent food, as one might expect given the prestige that attaches to their name, and this is no exception. But what appeared initially to be a courteous gesture - handing us copies of the menu in English - was the classic trap: the Menu du Jour... More

I was born in Lyon & am in the food business in a serious way ... I ALWAYS come to this restaurant when I visit Lyon. It used to be a train station & the miniature running (!!) train around the restaurant ceiling keeps the link alive. Totally pro service and busy because this is one of the Paul Bocuse... More
