Experience a French Brasserie with the Quality from Paul Bocuse

I was born in Lyon & am in the food business in a serious way ... I ALWAYS come to this restaurant when I visit Lyon. It used to be a train station & the miniature running (!!) train around the restaurant ceiling keeps the link alive. Totally pro service and busy because this is one of the Paul... read more

Good food, lots of guests, no too expensive, book a table in advance so you don`t have to wait too long. Try the Iberico Pork Neck , it`s a must

This is a very good brasserie for the money with a added train attractions, No wonder it used to be the restaurant of a former train station and the building (not like Penn Station in NYC) is still up. Food is good for the money. Excellent selection of season food. This is Lyon!

Iwent to this brassrie with high expectations. When you st your expectations high and when it is not met the result is disappointment. We have booked 4 days in advance on a Saturday night. When we arrived there were more than 30 people waiting for a table. When we finally stated that we have made a reservation we were told... More

Food, service and atmosphere were all good as it usually is in France. I also love finding such decent food for kids as well (as opposed to the nuggets and French fries). Train traveling above you is a nice attraction.

I know this is a Paul Bocuse restaurant but the food was just average for France. The place was very crowded and we had the impression that this was a big factory to make alot of money . The souffle was indeed very good, the service was also very professional and the train running around the ceiling was quite cute.... More

In the old train station of les Brotteaux, this restaurant has an amazing venue. The food is amazing and the price is correct for this kind of food. I always go there with friends or family when I go back to Lyon.

We live in France, and sadly finding a good restaurant is not as easy as you'd think. If you want a good restaurant at a reasonable price I recommend travelling to Lyon, in my view it is the culinary centre of France. As for L'Est, this is the place we, as a family choose to go when it's time to... More

We went to L'Est with 2 other couples on Friday night. We found the atmosphere busy and the lighting bright as was expected. The service was friendly and efficient. What was very disappointing was the food. Starter was a nice Foie Gras escalope but far too much polenta and not enough Foie Gras. The main was the real let down.... More
