Amazing – 2h30 minutes of pleasure!!

We had the “Classic Menu” and did not regret it. The food was delicious, flavors were intense and the presentation incredibly beautiful. The Foie gras and artichoke v10 (10th iteration of the Chef, just introduced a few days ago) was just amazing. Wonderful bread with smoke butter from Brittany... read more

This was a stunning experience. The house is really old, you feel the history, and the owners prepared all to preserve the history. But of course still fully renovated. So, if you like feeling history then you're in the right place. If you expect a modern setup you're wrong in this restaurant! So, I think there is no doubt on... More

I came to Lyon for one reason: gastronomy! Since I was alone I was limited to order from the a la carte menu, a choice of 2 or 3 , I chose 3, and ended up with 4 deserts! This is a 2 star Michelin restaurant so I expected the food to be very good and it did not disappoint!... More

Service can truly make or break the experience at the restaurant. We had the lack of luck to be served by a walking embodiment of all French cliches about waiters - pompous, unpleasant and standoffish. Even the lovely team at the entrance could not erase the impression. The food...yes, it was good, very good even, but I feel that as... More

I'm backpacking across Europe and on a tight budget, but decided with the culinary history of Lyon it would be my destination to explore French cuisine. I picked this restaurant from Trip Advisor and reviews from locals confirmed my choice. It was definitely worth it! Great culinary experience with awesomeness across the board from food, presentation, service... Pricey, but delicious... More

The French say that the best French food is served in Lyon. Which raises the obvious question: which is the best food in Lyon itself? A visit to La Mère Brazier definitively answers the question. This is very best of French cuisine, authentic, generous, and delicious. The set lunch is fantastic value for money. This is food as it was... More

From the food point of view: amazing! The langoustine entree is just perfect. I also had an Abalone dish: quite amazing and hearty as well! Value for money is what to expect, don't expect a good deal. There is a fee for the car keeper, I think the restaurant should take care of it. Staff is a little bit junior... More

Don't look for tis restaurant in the Rue Royale. The Mayor of Lyon has changed it to Rue La Mere Brazier. This is an establishment that goes on strong from 1921. It is said that world famous chef Paul Bocuse has learnt his art in this restaurant. The Michelin starred chef Viannay bought this restaurant in 2008 and saved it... More

This restaurant has a century of history and we feasted. We choiced historic menu that lists the dishes original chef. A special mention foie gras artichoke. Perfect service and a little chat with the chef to finish.

France's TGV, the Tres Grande Vitesse, is an amazing technical achievement and makes possible things that aren't possible in most other parts of the world. For example, we visited this restaurant from Paris, some 600 km (360 miles) distant, just to have lunch and return the same day. Our TGV averaged a cool 300 kph and hit a top speed... More
