Brilliant Le Brazier

I do think I can find a fault with this restaurant. It is in a lovely building with elegant rooms, the staff were all totally charming and tasting menu was excellent and the wines to match were very reasonable by London standards. It was supposed to be 5 courses but with all the other bits and... read more

We went to La Mere Brazier wishing to experience fine Lyonnaise dining, at a truly historic place, and were not the least bit disappointed. The service and decor are impeccable, as is the food, every single bite utter perfection, from the amuse bouche to dessert. Would most definitely come back at the first opportunity. Most expensive meal of my life,... More

In the last years I'm trying not to go to 2 stars Michelin' restaurants due to the too strict service (very formal and so...). In La Mere Brazier the food was really delicious but the service wasn't at all; I was in a room (the rest. is divided into several small rooms - which is great) with a young couple... More

La Mere Brazier is iconic restaurant in Lyon, and probably the best fine dining you can get in central Lyon. The food is elaborate and traditional, the atmosphere elegant and the service nothing short of impeccable. We've eaten here many times over the past years and always enjoy the food, service and atmosphere. it is not cheap, but for a... More

La Mere Brazier is an interesting choice for food lovers because many dishes copy the famous recipes of the legendary founder (The first woman awarded with 3 Michelin stars). It is therefore a sort of a time machine transporting guests to fine dining as it used to be in the first half of the XXth century. Today the usual repertoire... More

I've been to a few good restaurants in my time and this is right at the top of the tree. Quite simply the best meal I have ever eaten (degustation menu) in any restaurant. Everything is spot on here, the service, the wine pairings, the friendly staff, I could go on and on. In short I will still remember this... More

Truly a remarkable dining experience. The food and service was exactly what you would expect from a restaurant of this calibre. However, what truly created the experience was the interaction with the sommelier, staff and chef. Having the experience of dining at some of the best resturants in the US it is a rare occurrence to not get a little... More

My husband took me to MB for my birthday and it was divine. Although Mère Brazier has a reputation for being awesome, it's also known for being pretty traditional, so I was surprised at how thoughtful and creative everything was. We both took the 3-plate menu, which, with the amuse-bouche, cheese, and pre-dessert that was all included, ended up being... More

and they accommodated us (and our two Puli dogs) in a private room. Service was utterly charming, cooking faultless and the only shame was I had broken a tooth that morning so could hardly talk or think let alone chew. But I succeeded and was pleased to have done so. Incidentally, the wine list has a more "democratic" (by which... More
