For the past twenty years we have been travelling to France and always seek out the best Moules et Frites in each city we visit. A brilliant dish when done well and a real family favourite. Bleu de Toi had received strong reviews so we selected this restaurant in the wonderful gastronomic centre of Lyon. The meal was dreadful, half... More

Everything about this restaurant was great. The service, the atmosphere, the menu. I had white wine and shallot mussels and they were delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone!

OF a long weekend of food in Lyon, this was our most disappointing gastro experience. We were drawn in to the restaurant by the rustic traditional look and feel, the bustling crowd and by the delicious sounding seafood menu (there's just one meat option). What we got was incredibly poor service. I appreciate that the waitresses were very busy, but... More

This was the first reasonably priced quality restaurant that I came across in Lyon (Lyon being expensive overall). I was on a business trip eating alone so had a small table to myself. The place is very cosy with a good atmosphere. The staff speak English if you want them too but are happy to try and understand your terrible... More

Not sure if mussels were just out of season, but it was difficult to find them on any restaurant menu here. We didn't give up, though and managed to find this little gem that specialized in mussels, offering them 12 different ways.

Bleu de Toi was listed in a guide book and we were a bit reluctant to go, thinking it might be overwhelmed with tourists. Not so. This sweet, authentic restaurant is just as advertised - a great value with very helpful staff. Three of us had mussels and a liter of beer and it was all absolutely delicious. It is... More

Really nice place. Wooden floor and boiserie make the place very warm. On the contrary, servants are very cold and not emphatic girls: they are there for salary, not for passion. The excepion was a nice girl wearing sunglasses and dedicated to prepare drinks. We had a table near the bar and we could see how nice she was with everybody.... More

A gem in Lyon, rustic restaurant on restaurant row, the Mussels Provençial are out of this world. Blue de Toi is an event by itself, one of my favorite restaurants in the world.

Our last night in Lyon my wife and I were looking for a relatively small meal of simple food. We were walking down the "restaurant row" on rue Merciere and came upon Bleu de Toi, where almost everyone was eating moules (mussels) and frites (about 14 euros). While we enjoyed our dinner and the beer that accompanied it, to be... More

We went to Bleu de Toi as were under the impression that it was a fish restaurant. However, unless you eat mussels, there is very little choice. As I don't eat shell fish, it meant the choice was limited to salmon or tuna. Even then, there isn't much choice, either tuna carpaccio or a plate of smoked salmon (with chips... More
