Authentic Japanese food

It is a very simple, elegantly clean restaurant, real Japanese style decor and the food so authentic, and delicious, and presented with great taste, good quality fish and sake selection. The service is extremely friendly and quick, and the prices are really optimal for what you eat.

We had dinner at Tomo and based on Tripadvisor we were expecting fantastic dinners, based on our American sushi experience. The fare was Japanese but not rolls or sake, but it was good. We each had a rice vinegar bowl, mine with salmon and my husband with tuna (we asked to substitute noodles that were on the menu but they... More

We were happily surprised with the market menu: a nice tastes progression through the courses.. Starting with the simple but perfectly cooked beans with sesame seeds, gently seasoned...to the best tofu we ever had...to a simply delicious barbecued porc with subtle japanese flavour...and after 5 or 6 courses, finishing with a green tea ice-cream! nice atmosphere and attentive service: discrete... I went here with my husband and two friends at their recommendation and enjoyed the meal. It's more traditional Japanese than fusion, which I appreciated: the ingredients are on the French side but the preparation is more Japanese. They have a standard menu as well as two formules that change semi-regularly. My husband and I both took the market menu... More

We took from a la carte.I took tatsuta-age which is one kind of karaage. it was so amasing, quite sophisticated taste I've never taken this kind of high quality japanese food in France for this fantastic price. Billed as Franco-Japanese, but as far as we could tell this was full on traditional fare, very well done, on a quiet street in the upscale 6th arrondissement. Small and refined but not stuffy, the restaurant offers two different menus, one a market menu and the other a more expanded tasting menu. There is also an a la carte menu... More

A Japanese restaurant in the world capital of gastronomy very gutsy and ver well done. You won't find this place walking around the city because the front is very discrete. Two menus make it very simple to choose, one from the daily market the other one gastronomic. Overall very fresh an typical Japanese cuisine. Very good surprise.

We went here to get a break from the typical lyonnaise food. It was good. I had the udon noodles and it was very flavorful and perfect for a cold night. My husband got the set menu for 35 euros and it was ok and he wishes he had gotten mine. Not very many actual sushi options.

The restaurant does not have a big sign outside. The sign was a little bigger than an A4 size. So you have to look closely at the house number. Chef Tomo came out from the kitchen to greet us. We went for the french food and not the japanese. After all we did not travel to Lyon to eat Japanese.... More

I had my best Japanese food experience here. If you are tired of fast-food Sushi bars and want to try real Japanese food, go for it. The service was excellent as well, waitress explained every dish and was really helpful and friendly. I had the 6 dishes menu, was an awesome experience. They have french cuisine as well, don't get... More
