We walked out of a restaurant across the road after getting no service and straight to Le Rocambole. Madam welcomed us and found a seat straight away. Gave us the menu and then came back a few minutes later and took our order. The meal arrived not long after. From sitting to getting the meal was about 10 minutes. The... More

Le Rocambole has become our breakfast haunt during our four day stay in Vieux Lyon. Excellent coffee and croissants. Well patronised by locals as well as visitors. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Sylvie the manager is a delight. As previously posted the location is very good for watching the passing parade of locals and tourists. Free WIFI. Great... We went back several time to Le Rocambole for the casual ambience, outdoor seating and friendly, helpful waiter, James. The menu has quite a bit of variety, but we were in the mood for the homey French version of grilled cheese sandwiches and had the Croque Monsieur and Madame. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but watching the crowds walk... More

We stopped at this restaurant for a light lunch as we returned to Old Lyon. The food was good and reasonably priced. The outside seating allowed us a view of people coming & going into the older part of Lyon. Service was good & we weren't rushed to complete our meal.

We dined here in our first ever trip to Europe and loved the food and the service. When we returned to Lyon we wondered if the restaurant was still there. It was. Is it owned by the same chef, who knows but the food was good, the price reasonable and the service excellent. Next tinme we go to Lyon, we... More

Situated on a busy corner as people enter and exit the old town of Lyon, this is a great cafe to stop for a beer or an espresso. Cannot pass comment on the food. The cafe/bar appeared to me to be extremely well-managed and well-staffed. We stopped there three or four times and never had to wait long to be... More
