Good food-better mood!

Excellent service and tasty food! Also non- vegatarian left the place happy. Menus give good choices and the portions are visually well designed. We enjoyed the main course and dessert more than the starter (too big portions for us, salmon tartar& sparragus soup itself were tasty).

Having used T/A to source what was 'filtered' as the best veggie restaurant in town, we booked ahead so my wife could enjoy a vegetarian experience rather than have a 'normal' menu adapted for her. This restaurant is tiny, but clearly very popular. We both started with quiche which was served not quite cold, but not luke warm either. It... More

This is a charming little place with wonderful servers, helpful and English friendly. And some of the food was amazing. The sorbets, the drinks were superb. They had a nonalcoholic Merlot I wish I could get in the US. The bread was lovely. My main was a quinoa risotto with mushrooms and cheese. The portion was huge, and even applying... More

While we are not vegetarian we prefer not to eat meat so we were very pleased to read about this restaurant and to make a reservation on-line. It wasn't hard to find and we sat outside in a small cordoned off area. The setting was simple but the food - for us the most important - was excellent, as was... More

After reading so many great reviews on TA, I made a reservation here for the weekend when my husband and I had friends in town. Overall, the experience was average: Although the service was great, the decor felt a bit cheap, the mixed drinks were poor, and the food was fine - definitely edible, but nothing to write home about.... Finding innovative vegetarian-friendly French cuisine in Lyon is nearly impossible, so when we ran across the reviews for Place des sens we were convinced we should give it a try and we couldn't be more pleased that we did! My dining companion (a full vegetarian) and I (a pescetarian) found Place des sens to be the perfect place for a... More

I select this restaurant for dinner with my husband for his birthday because they offer organic food. Their menu is short and simple. The food as well as the restaurant decorations are not fancy, but somewhat natural and creative as printed in their name card. The thing we like most is that they use some of the organic ingredients to... More

I wanted to sample some of Lyon's renowned cuisine during a short stay in town, so I reserved a 7:30 pm table using the Fork about 2 weeks in advance of our visit on Saturday, Sept 27. This is a small cafe with limited seating away from the tourist hotspots (about a 40 minute stroll from Place Bellecour). Our waiter spoke... More

We had an excellent dinner on the 6th of september. A three course meny that suited both vegetarians and others. We where very well welcomed and had a excellent servant who guided us through the dinner. Everything was top class. We highly recommend Place du Sense.

We showed up without a reservation (although I would suggest having one) after my friend did some research and knew that they had vegetarian options for me, etc. They were kind enough to seat us even though it was coming to the end of the night and we did not have a reservation. We sat at a lovely little table... More
