Unique and difficult to find a better and more refined meal anywhere in the world

But brace yourself...I made a reservation two months before going there to celebrate the fiftieth birthday of my soulmate Hélène. She had done the same to me another year and I honoured the place for the second time. An extraordinary meal, once more. A Japanese chef doing the finest french cuisine in the old section of Lyon. Few tables, hence... More

This resto is tiny, and they have one service per night, which means you really have to reserve ahead. I've tried getting a table here before and finally booked a table with my hubby about two months in advance to celebrate an anniversary, and we had an awesome time. There is one menu of 8 plates plus a mise en... More

A small restaurant with only one seating per night but what a culinary symphony. Innovative and sublime are the two words that come to mind. Very anxious to go back and try it again!

Four of us sat down for a pre-booked degustation course that took us through a whirlwind journey of delectable tasting and discovery. We had requested for smaller servings as we had visited a brasserie earlier, but yet still found the food irresistable. Wine pairing was matching. Service was attentive. The place is small and I would recommend booking ahead. They... More

This was a terrific food experience, but be ready with an appetite as you will have eight courses and will be very full walking (or crawling) out. We three ordered a couple bottles of wine so did not get the benefit of the wine pairings offered as a supplement. It was amusing as they handed us the menu and then... More

This intimate restaurant is a fine jewel.in Vieux Lyon. By any standards it is small, only 16 diners as maximum, but the Japanese Chef/owner certainly packs a big punch. My wife and I had the Menu "QED" and it was magnificent. The Japanese influence on Classic French dishes was brilliant. It is hard to have favourite courses when it all... More

We went with my aunt and uncle, who happened to be in Lyon at the same time. The menu was incredibly inventive and DELICIOUS. Everyone ate every morsel, and everyone had a different favorite dish. Mine was the pigeon (cooked perfectly). My husband's was the decadent foie gras dish. I don't generally like eggs, and the soft boiled egg with... More

Absolutely amazing food in a very cozy and intimate atmosphere. The offer you a fixed menu and are very good about substitutions for food aversions. The service is very classy as well. Mixture of Japanese and French savoir faire.

The location. The room. The service. The food. Everything at this small 14-seater is perfect. The marriage of French food and Japanese presentation is sublime. These chefs know what they're doing and to complete the union the dishes have been perfectly matched with French wines, rounding out the evening's meal. Even with the 8 or 9 courses we weren't overfed,... More
