This place is not to be missed on a Lyon layover. Some of the richest, most deliciously honest French food I've ever had. Don't miss the lamb leg and pork cheeks. The creme brulee was sensational. Great, affordable wine. Go for the Morgon. And gigantic portions are ideal for sharing between carnivorous friends. A warning, this place is not veggie... More

Chef comes with the menu on a piece of paper. Just detailing is makes you wish to try it all. Serving are generous, food is warm and excellent. You are a bit squeezed, as the tables are very close to each other. Not the place for a romantic one to one dinner.

Decided to meet some friends here after reading reviews and we were not disappointed. We had lunch there on a Saturday in July and we had booked which was good as they were full. We paid 30euros a head for 3 courses plus wine and coffee. Our 6 year old ate on the house (saucisson en brioche with salad and... More

As soon as we walked though the door we just knew that we would have a great evening. It was full of french diners enjoying themselves, all packed in to a tiny restaurant. We were shown to our table which was covered in a red and white checked table cloth and then ordered an aperitif. Already on the table was... More

Lyon is teeming with bouchons, but if you're after the real deal, then this one's for you. Located in Rue des Forces, Le Musee is tucked away from the touristy restaurants. Luc Minaire, the lovely owner, was convivial. He sat down with every customer to discuss the menu for the day.... the food repertoire changes everyday...so you can be sure... More

Like so many others, we greatly enjoyed our dinner at Bouchon Le Musee'. The wonderfully entertaining proprietor, Luc Minaire, acted out the body part of the pig from which each dish came, to our delight! We both chose the quenelles and were not disappointed in the specialty of the house. Though the place is small and informal, reservations are a... More

Le Musée... One name, and the occasion to speak about art and cultur with the chief. A taste of Lyon's kitchen, and also the occasion to laugh and have a good time. Try the quenelles and one another typical french plate... The atmosphere is a small one, near the other clients and the "Patron".

Really enjoyed the food and experience. Lyon is a great city and would certainly return to this restaurant when visiting again.

Fantastic food, great ambiance. The whole thing in a 16th century building next to the museum of print.

In order to understand whether a bouchon is a real bouchon you must try the quenelles, which are a sort of "toucjstone" in order to understand the quality of this kind of Lyon restaurants. Quite disappointingly, in many bouchons in Lyon the quenelles are... disappointing! Their quality quite often is so low that their taste, in average, is similar to... More
