An authentic Lyon "bouchon" experience!

We have been to this restaurant a couple of times already, and the only word we can use to describe "Le Musée" is: marvelous! Fantastic little restaurant in Lyon serving typical Lyonnaise style food. No menu, and you choose from what the chef is cooking that night. I would recommend starting with a glass of Kir then quenelle, veal snout salad, tripe sausage, sausage in brioche and well as escargot. The waiter Roberto was patient and explained all the items, and had a great... More

The good reputation of this restaurant goes before it. All of the previous superlatives are true. It is definitely best to book. We were clearly destined to eat here as, despite no reservation, we were fortunate enough to get the only two remaining covers available. Many were turned away as the place was full. From the exterior, there is no... More

Superb, fantastic. We ate here on our 6th night and this was by far the best. There were 4 of us and we each had a different starter, main and dessert. None of us were disappointed but we did stay away from the more typical Lyonnaise Bouchon "delicacies". There was no menu, the atmosphere excellent, the staff entertaining, friendly and... More

Having been on the food trail for 2 weeks, Le Musee gave us something different to experience in le bouchon cuisine. Warm and comforting, it was back to basics and deliciously so!

We went on spec from TripAdvisor and found this bouchon to be everything Lyon is proud of. We were made very welcome. The chef spent time with all guests to determine menus specific to each person. All the food was traditional but with a touch of "home". There were extras - a little Eau de Vie to finish the meal,... More

Probably the best food I had on my trip to Lyon and Marseille and at a very reasonable price. The owner was extremely friendly and it was nice to see him take such a pride in his work.

This is our second visit to this wonderful little bouchon in the centre of Lyon and once again the food was excellent. There is such a jovial atmosphere in the restaurant which is always espxtremely busy. The friendly owner visits your table with the choices hand written on a piece of paper and sits down and goes through what is... More
