We dined here on a Saturday night so it was crowded but we had a good time talking with the other diners seated with us. The owner was extremely nice even though he was very harried. The menu was personally and carefully explained. The food didn't disappoint, not your usual French fare. The owner also showed us the traboule outside... More

What an amazing little restaurant. It was full of locals, we were the only tourists, always a good sign. The patron sat with us and told us the menu and really seemed to care that we should enjoy his food. It was all wonderful, especially the quenelles de brochet. A great meal and a really different dining experience, very local... More

It's not just the wonderful food...it is the atmosphere, the staff, the other patrons and the owner. You are welcomed and looked after all night. It is a great place for a good French experience and not to be missed! It is small, cozy and oozes the French lifestyle - loved every minute of it!

we had dinner on Wednesday 5th February at this boucheron. Warmly greeted on arrival, remembering I had emailed for a reservation. No menu, as the owner, arrives at your table with handwritten paper. excellent choices. I had snails in a cream sauce, followed by pigs cheeks, my wife had terrine followed by lamb shank. wine comes in a bottle, either cotes... More

After spending the last 2 nights in Lyon (both of which we spent at Le Musee because the first night was so good) we can thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Everything we read in the reviews were true including the owner describing the food to us. At one stage thinking we were going to get Dolphin Bollocks...(just to clarify this was... More

This is a must-try when you're in Lyon. There is no written menu, instead the owner (a cute little old man) goes around table to table to introduce his menu of the day. If you're unsure of what to order, you can leave it to him to make the perfect choice for you! My friend and I had mushroom soup... More

Just order their traditional food.. It's small, nice and lovely place. Owner will sit down with you and explain the menu. One of the must go place in Lyon. Reservation is a must. Make sure you call few days in advance to book for a place. They are always full!

We were there by noon and the place were packed with old customer already. The meal are so good that we want to book for dinner but owner said fully booked already. Definitely the most memorable lunch we ever had in France (even better than some of the Michelin star restaurant we dined in France) and the price is very... More

We felt absolutely welcome, both by the staff and of course the personal touch of the "patron"; the atmosphere & decoration is no nonsense, feels really cosey + typically French. Food choice personally explained during a chat with the patron, who is also quite interested where his guests come from. The Food itself was typically "bouchon lyonnais", well prepared, from... More

Luc the owner and his way of explaining the menu made the evening one to remember. We were advised by the locals who were sitting at the next table to "trust" Luc so thats what we did.The starters were delicious- grilled eggplant with balsamic vinegar and zucchini frittata. For mains we enjoyed the pork cheeks dish which was very tender and...
