We lived in Lyon for 6 years, and Le Potiquet was our favorite by far. Sophisticated yet warm atmosphere and hosts, experimental combinations of traditional flavors and exquisite presentation. The foie gras with ananas and chocolate, lamb, salmon... Fabulous desserts; trio of creme brûlée was always an experience to guess the flavors. Reasonable prices and expert wine pairing. We wanted... I was directed here after my first choice for dinner that evening was fully booked and I was not disappointed. The meal was lovely, and I got help in English with the menu but definitely the highlight was the creme brulee dessert. Three different flavours that were subtle, interesting and delicious, the chef came out from the kitchen to tell... More

Our Chef patron was standing at the door to greet us by name when we arrived. He has an utterly charming and boyish enthusiasm about his food and sweeps up the whole room into it. You cannot help but be entranced by the whole unpretentious, understated but genuinely marvelous experience. Dinner was of course wonderful. Too many superlatives? They deserve... More

Our experience at Le Potiquet was fabulous. The restaurant, which is on a busy street with many restaurants, is elegant and serene. The dining room is not big, but the tables are nicely spaced and it is quiet and elegant. Aurélian, the chef, takes your orders himself and is very present in the dining room during the meal. The service... More

If U visit Lyon don't think Bouchon cover only Wine bottels, Bouchon are small traditional Restaurants in this old Gaulle town. Aurelien was a roman emperor but in LE POTIQUET he's really Top Chief, with new and traditional cooking world. Only one think to remember RESERVATION, these restaurants have feew tables, many JP US UK tourists but most of them... More

Excellent food, prepared in a beautiful style. The perfect place to take a close friend of lover for a nice evening of dining and talkng. It is slightly noisy because the walls are stone, and the service (though impecible0 is slightly over the top.

Dumping the pantry It started with a touch of arrogance – Monsieur Auréien came to the table explaining what a superb dinner he had prepared, but especially the first course that was his idea of what a Chinese spring roll should be and the desert that would “explode with savor”. Both dishes came with ingredients that were just below the... More

Dinner at this Lyon restaurant was a great experience with wonderful food and great service. As noted by other reviewers the chef and owner personally takes customer's orders and makes time to check in with what we thought of the food and unlike others, seems to really care about what we thought. This restaurant certainly deserves more accolades!
