Fantastic!

You will love eating here. This is a family run restauant where everyone you meet takes incredible pride in what they put in front of you on the table. Even the person in the kitchen washing the dishes holds up each glass to the light to make sure it is crystal clean. The food was wonderful. We had... read more

We were welcomed by the smiling and genial owner, who spoke English and was patient with our French. There was an amuse bouche of spiced, chopped beets, which we finished every last bite of--and we don't even like beets. Our starters were chicken liver mousse and a salad with duck liver mousse, smoked salmon, and a large shrimp, both very... More

Make sure you book in advance. Mainly locals. Lovely ambience. Superb food. Excellent service. The chef and his wife are a couple well used to service. Fantastic. A superb meal.

It was just around the corner from our apartment, run by a husband and wife team. They had two set price menus as well as a la carte menu. DH ended up ordering a duck salad and guinea fowl pie from one of the set price menus and I chose a salad and scallops from the other set price menu.... More

It was so much fun sitting next to people you didn't know, and by the end of the night you were best friends! The food was to die for. The husband cooks, and wife serves! A Lyon must!

What a wonderful change from many city restaurants - a real family feel, a welcoming atmosphere. Friendly tolerance of non French speakers who really appreciate the food and the country style atmosphere. A place I visit every time I get to Lyon.

I was visiting my brother whom I hadn't seen in over 10 years and we happened to find this great restaurant on the web. The name fit perfectly for our occasion. The food was outstanding and the service was the best. I'm writing this review several months later and I can still remember the taste of our meal! They have... More

When you walk in the door you are made to feel like a welcome guest, here for a festive evening. We were given cheerful answers to our questions about the wines and certain menu items. You are able to see right into the kitchen, and it was obvious that everything was served the minute it was ready. The pear-bleu cheese... More

This place is amazing. A small, family-run restaurant in Old Town was out of this world. After a beet-puree complimentary starter, the house salad with shrimp and a huge slab of pate foie gras sent us to the moon! The scallops I had on my first visit (yes, we went back!) were huge, succulent and beautifully presented. You feel like... More

This place meets a certain standard for restaurants in France run by an older couple. None of the clientele are very demanding quality-wise and the people keep rolling in. We found the food edible but there were no surprises and there was quite a lot of evidence of short-cuts in the cooking, eg "bouillabaise" made from basic bottled fish soup.... More
