A small restaurant where the time seems to be stopped about 40 or more years ago. Very traditional food and atmosphere. Also very good wine that fits well with the food.

It was a fabulous dinner we had there. 8-course meal (5 appetizers, 1 main, cheese and dessert) at €27. The food is very flavourful and the bouchon bustling with people. They have an English menu and was able to take care of my food allergies. We were so full after the dinner! A must try in Lyon!!!

Do not ask for the menu, they'll voice it, once you are settled at the table. This 'bouchon' offered us lentils in mayonnaise with onions, some snack made of pork (very tasty btw), some veggies and then the main course that you choose - either meat or chicken or smth else. All tasty, all traditional, all home made. The only... More

Loved everything about this place: the friendly girls on the floor, the old photos on the walls, the delicious food, the hustle and bustle - ahhhh lovely. Great meal (the best I'Ve had in France so far), great price, great place!

Genuine, superb value, great traditional Lyonnais food, fun. Excellent service and vg wines for the price. One of the few remaining authentic bouchons in Lyon that has kept to its roots. Book - it is usually very crowded.

In short: if you choose to eat only in one Bouchon during your stay in Lyon, Le Cafe des Federations should be the chosen one! Their Generosity is amazing - you get 5 huge plats with a good Lyonnaise food for the price of 27 Euro! (check their dinner "menu classique"). For the first course you don't even have to... More

We loved our lunch at Cafe des Federations. This cafe has a fantastic atmosphere and great service! Love the decor and vibe. The food was intriguing, we loved the wine, the lentils, the chicken and the black pudding was pretty nice too. It was great to try some different foods and get out of your comfort zone a bit. Would... More

My hotel told me this is a touristy place. Maybe, but not when I was there. I only heard French. This is one of the oldest and most famous bouchons in Lyon and it was a treat. Bouchons feed you very well for an amazing price. I had as part of the prix fixe meal: an amuse bouche of broth... More

This is my second visit to Cafe des Federations - and I think it actually exceeded my memory. I was initially taken there by the family of my brother in law, and are so much I felt I was going to burst. This time I told myself, I will pace my meal - and you must, there are six courses... More
