Excellent gastronomical experience in an unlikely neighboorhood

The Mas Bottero is an very good gastronomical restaurant in the Berriat area of Grenoble. The food is excellent, associating creativity and and quality based on seasonal, fresh, usually locally sourced ingredients, leading to a festival for the taste buds. My wife and I made reservations at Le Mas Bottero based on TripAdvisor reviews. But those reviews did not sufficiently praise this gem. We selected a table in the terrace dining area – fantastic! The waiter was friendly, helpful, and spoke English. The waiter recommended a great bottle of wine, a Domaine Finot, Isère IGP Coteaux du Grésivaudan, Pinot Noir... More

The Mas Bottero is an very good gastronomical restaurant in the Berriat area of Grenoble. The food is excellent, associating creativity and and quality based on seasonal, fresh, usually locally sourced ingredients, leading to a festival for the taste buds. Beyond the traditional 3 courses + cheese, the little "mises en bouche" before the meal were outstanding. The value for... More

This was a wonderful restaurant to eat dinner at on a beautiful summer evening. The terrace is absolutely stunning. Not really a view, although there is a nice urban garden in the plaza across the street, but it really makes you forget that you are eating in a city. The food is very elegant and refined, without being pretentious (the... More

Very good food, nice menus. The service is great too. It's a bit out of the way, not in the place you would expect to find a gastronomic restaurant, but it's really worth the detour!

Dinner here was wonderful. It’s France; the restaurant was well worth the adventure. Nice atmosphere and good food. Yet another dinner with a friend and we stopped in on his advice. The restaurant is nice. A little different from my North American taste, but as I mention in the start, well worth the adventure if you are in town and... More

Very-very nice restaurant. It has got 2 Michelin forks, but I would give at least 3 :) We really enjoyed the meal and wines. The staff are really friendly and helpful, though they don't speak much English. We took the 4 course menu - Saveurs, for 47€. Everything was really tasty. They also offer a 3 course menu for 29€,... Excellent high quality cusine the service also excellent the only problem is that the menu is very small and can be difficult if you are not able to enjoy French specialities ie: Rabbit, Veal, I have to say for me was not a problem but my wife found it very difficult as there are only 2 menus. Otherwise it was... More

While visiting our son during his winter exchange term, we were very lucky to happen upon this great restaurant. Had an amazing lunch. Expensive but definitely worth it.
