High quality food, reasonable price

I highly recommend the tuna and salmon tartar, and the desserts were amazing. We enjoyed sitting outside in the square and the atmosphere was great. The service was superb. Great set menus for very reasonable prices

We came as a part of a group tour, dining in a private room upstairs. Food and wine were fantastic, service was quite quick and English was not a problem. We would happily come back here

Cannot speak highly enough about this restaurant. I had the meal of the day for 29 Euros. The starter was Caesar salad with duck, followed by pork in a thyme sauce.potatoes cooked in cream with garlic and cheese. This was followed by a chocolate sphere filled with Mascarpone cream and raspberries. The service was excellent and the waiters attentive eg... More

Just enjoyed a really memorable meal at L'Epicurien. We had the €29 3 course menu with a wide range of starters, mains and desserts. Every morsel of food was delicious; the service was first class from start to finish. Grenoble was 'rammed' with every restaurant busy but all the staff seemed to have time to provide excellent, personalised service. We... More

We had a dinner for two, food and service was great! Both of us ate the menu, mine was Foie Gras, half cooked tuna and strawberry soup with mint-basil ice cream as a dessert.

I know the restaurant "l'epicurien" since 1997 (my first time in Grenoble) and I'm more than glad to see how much it improves its quality in all senses: great food, more space, increased comfort, summer terrace in the square, high variety of menus, excellent wine list. I've been there with family, for business and just with friends in many opportunities... More

Located in city center adjacent to outdoor market square, this nicely appointed restaurant has great outdoor covered seating. Friendly service, the entrée of chicken with a mushroom cream sauce was excellent. Dessert of a chocolate truffle cake was superb. Good wine list. Finished the evening off with an excellent digestif of the local Grenoble-based liquor called Chartreuse – herbal spiced... More

We came here on the recommendation of the staff at the Le Grand Hotel. It was a fantastic recommendation. The food is of the typical high standard expected in small French family restaurants. The appetizers were huge. The mains were delicious. The desserts cholesterol busting (even for France). Thoroughly enjoyed it.

In the old part of town, a nice place to stop for dinner after a walk around, or a visit to the Bastille. Reception and service were great, both french and english spoken so easy to get service. high quality food preparation and service, meant we had a great dinner - the menu is a bargain - and would go... Great food and drink, friendly and efficient service, decent prices. The menu has a couple of "full meal deal" options for 30 to 40 Euros. I was not disappointed with the 30 Euro option. Staff spoke good English (much better than my French!).
