Great food and Seating outside

We came here on the recommendation of the staff at the Le Grand Hotel. It was a fantastic recommendation. The food is of the typical high standard expected in small French family restaurants. The appetizers were huge. The mains were delicious. The desserts cholesterol busting (even for France). Thoroughly enjoyed it.

In the old part of town, a nice place to stop for dinner after a walk around, or a visit to the Bastille. Reception and service were great, both french and english spoken so easy to get service. high quality food preparation and service, meant we had a great dinner - the menu is a bargain - and would go... Great food and drink, friendly and efficient service, decent prices. The menu has a couple of "full meal deal" options for 30 to 40 Euros. I was not disappointed with the 30 Euro option. Staff spoke good English (much better than my French!).

Probably a place to avoid if you care about your food and your wine and are out for a nice memorable meal. Had the set three course dinner "recommended by the chef." The cauliflower soup served as a starter was excellent but from then on it was downhill. Main course was entrecote which was fine but nothing exceptional. But the... More

A great restaurant, good food, good wine, great atmosphere. Would recommend if you are staying in Grenoble. In the old part of town by the market area.

I was in Grenoble for a 2 week University course from Australia and on our first night they took a group of 25 of us to this restaurant for dinner. The restaurant is in the old part of town which is cobblestones and pedestrianised and filled with interesting architecture. The building the restaurant is in is lovely and the food... More

L'Epicurean is located in a very old section of Grenoble which is very atmospheric. The decor of the restaurant too matches its locale. It's comfortable and warm with lots of exposed wood and stone. I ordered duck which was probably my mistake. The breast fat was not rendered and virtually raw and the meat was extremely rare and tough. Too... More

One of the more well known tables in Grenoble. Excellent and original french cusine. Probably second to none in the region. Perfect for a romantic night out. While a little bit on the pricey side, it is well worth it.
