During a weekend in Grenoble, 4 of us had booked what we thought, was the best restaurant for our last night. Whilst we were happy with the food, the service let the evening down. The off handed attitude was always present with a total lack of engagement with the customers. However, the thing that I found unacceptable was an episode with... More

We had an excellent business dinner at Auberge Napoleon. Our (chinese) guests and colleagues really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. A special mention of the Cote du Rhone, reasonably priced and really excellent. We very much recommend this place.

Incredible meal, heavenly wine, and great service! My meat prix fixe was such a delight...course by course. What a treat in Grenoble during a business trip!

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at this small but stylish restaurant. Quite traditionally French. Excellent service and the food was as good as we have ever had - and we have had some excellent food in our time! 98 euros for two of us - not including wine and water. Congratulations Napoleon!

It's not a cheap restaurant where you'll be able to go every night but I really enjoyed it. I took the "Poisson Menu" and I liked everything I had. Decoration is old style but the restaurant is named Napoleon, isn't it?

As said, poor environment and service, but a good cuisine, this is our experience of this restaurant. When dining to a restaurant of this presentation, you expect to enter a place with exceptional decoration and service. None of the two existed in this restaurant.... The receptionist-owner-??? was wearing grey jeans, no tie and no jacket.... the antique furniture was surrounded with -modern-abstract... More

The food was very good, although the menu is plenty of duck. The mooch aux foie gras was perfect! But the decoration was a mix of Napoleon and cheap modern items. If you look around you loose your appetite! And finally the service was in discordance with the prices. I do not accept to see the fingers inside the empty... More

Classic restaurant setup with a great menu of culinary courses. The dining room has a historical ambience.

On a business trip to Grenoble, a colleague advised me to go there for nice moment and good food experience. Better if you book in advance for a table especially on mondays when most of other surrounding restaurants are closed. I had the foie-gras menu. 5 different dishes on the foie-gras theme. Even the desert was related to foie gras... More

I have eaten at Napoleon every time I have visited Grenoble, so that is twice in ten years. Both were good experiences. Tonight, a Monday, the room was full, always a good sign. And at least half were locals. I had the Meat Menu, and it was all good. On reflection, every dish was a "meat" colour (brown beige) apart... More
