A Very Special Place

We ate twice here during our week skiing. Finding the place first time quite by accident. Its in an amazing spot just a short ski down from one of the lifts, handily on edge of a green run. It's teacup shaped, perched up high, and has amazing views all around (see pic). The decor and ambiance is... read more

I don't ever remember going to an expensive restaurant and having to wait 40 minutes for a table even though we had a reservation! We reserved a table at 2:00, and it wasn't ready until 2:40 The food is not bad though (if you don't order anything from the grill - it's nearly impossible to chew)

Good restaurant on the mountain - but quite expensive for normal people (7 euros for a cup of tea!). For Courchevel prices I guess it is OK. We've had a beef steak and crepes, both very very good.

Recently I had a skiing vacation with my family and was looking forward to visit La Soucoupe restaurant which I had visited 5 years earlier and had great memories. What a Fiasco. I don't know if the restaurant changed owner or chef but it all points to that. I had the worst food for the most outrageously expensive food of... More

Very good quality place on the slope. Excellent grill, but the herring served in a pot as a starter is really top notch! You need to book and the service can be slow.

La Soucoupe is different , Brasserie menu with great selection of Wine. Cozy atmosphere , great panorama terrace . Reservation is a must. Wooden mountain decoration. I am not impressed about the quality of food. It is the location and the view outside that attract people rather then fine quality food. It is not cheap at all. €6 for an... More

They have great grilled meat dishes. I like the steak very much. It's well located with a beautiful terrace with an amazing view. As you are in Courchevel it's expensive. The deserts are good but huge , if you take 1 for 2 than you still have enough. Their wine list is nice but also to expensive. Even with bad... More

All I can say - don't be disappointed - book early - do not expect to get a table without a booking at Lunchtime. Food & Views Spectacular. Yes expensive - but aren't they all mountainside !!

Fantastic open fire grill in the centre of this lovely traditional mountain restaurant situated at the top of the Plantery chair lift. Have visited many times and have rarely been disappointed with the quality of the food. Inside it's cosy and warm with the tables surrounding the indoor fire, where the chef also grills the meat. Outside, there are plenty... More

Cosy atmosphere and typical local kitchen. The service helpful, polite and smiley Definitely should be visited but if you dont go there on skis, keep in mind that the last lift ride is on 4.20' and need about 15-20 minute walk in the snow to get to the lifts
