Expensive but worth every penny

We shared the dinner with a group of friends and everyone was very pleased with our meal. The lamb I had would melt in your mouth. My husband had the sweetbreads and would have used more of the amazing bread to wipe his plate if possible. Save room for desert and the cheese cart.

When one turns sixty - what the heck. A two star Michelin. About 14 tables and app 75% seating on a Sunday night. A very warm, but a little bitt stiff (?) welcome and atmosphere which loosened as the evening went on. When you have nine courses you can't like them all. And so it was this time too.The oyster... Dear Madam, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on TripAdvisor. We attach great importance to propose our degustation menu 'Maison de Savoie' with nine small tasty dishes. Our 'maître sommelier', Alain, is also working hard to find wines which will compliment each dish perfectly. Your appreciation is a nice return for our staff which is trying... More

My friend recommended the Albert 1er to me - . The accommodations are good and the food is spectacular. Some of us were literally in tears at the quality. This was a meal deserving of the best Pauillac's - La Tour and Graves similar to the 1961 or the 1989 Chateau Haut Brion. An appropriate place from which to experience... More

Yes expensive. But Michelin rated, and that generally means expensive, great food and impeccable service. All are found here. Menu a la carte is very expensive as it persuades you towards a pice fix. We paired with wines. We have eaten here three times and the menu is always innovative and changing. It's not a value based meal, it's a... More

Dear sear, Thank you for taking time to send this message. It was a pleasure to welcome you in our QuartzBar and Albert 1er restaurant those last days. We just received the result for the 2015 Michelin Guide. We are very happy to inform you that our chef Pierre Maillet (my husband) is honored with ** Michelin Stars for 2015.... More

This is a very elegant restaurant. Everything is done to perfection. The service is amazing as well as the food. It's really an A+ for me. I cook a lot and love to eat and this restaurant really stood out.

My husband and I visited in December 2014 and did the spa and lunch package for 75euros. We spent a relaxing the morning in the lovely spa which has an outdoor heated pool with views of Mont Blanc. The package included lunch at the gourmet restaurant. We expected that this would just be a standard two course lunch but we... More

Went there for the New Year Eve party. The food was good although I liked the one from Le Bistrot better. Staff was very attentive and cared about our experience. If I was to make any suggestions I would say just that they should be more careful about filling the glasses as I needed to call them at least 3... More

We paid over a hundred Eros per person for two courses. At this price we expected some creativity, but there wasn't any. The dishes were boring and average. There was no vegetarian dish. If you want a lot of show off go there, if you want good food don't.

This was meant to be a highlight meal during our stay in Chamonix but we had a less than satisfactory experience. The ambience was stuffy, the service appalling (only the sommelier made some effort to converse with us, the other staff looked like it was the last place they wanted to be), and the food was pretty average. By the... More

Had a great Lunch with friends, unbelievable cheese and dessert cart. We had set menus which had wine pairings, but we had to remind the waiters to bring the wine (s). When the bill came, we were double billed for all wines (a $120 mistake!!)
