Very good traditional meals

Good service, family friendly, delicious meals, a warm atmosphere, good for lunch and dinner. Traditional mountain house decoration. I suggest pierre chaud and raclette.

Walking into this place you think you've entered Santa's Groto the mechanised polar bear was particularly un-nerving but I believe its a bit of left over christmas decorations. Inside the place is quirky but attractive and homely with tables set on multiple levels. The menu is too big which is always a worry however the place did fill out especially... More

We love the busy atmosphere and local dishes here. The wood interior and decor is charmingly alpine and we always book a table every visit to Chamonix. A real treat!

My second visit to this tourist haven in the heart of Chamonix. I should have known things were sliding downhill with the aggressive, direct and almost rude response from hostess when we arrived early. It was too busy. We came back on time and were promptly seated. Our waiter clearly was too busy for us. Quite a long wait. He... More

We were a group of 6, dining there on 22 Jan 2016. We had a reservation but waited 15 min for our table (not the end of the world). Once at our table, we ordered wine, water and some bread. The wine arrive promptly, which was good, but a full hour later (!) our water and bread had still not... More

This restaurant looked great on paper just what we were looking for on a fun night out on a skiing trip. From the moment we arrived this proved to be a poor decision. Being a Friday night they were obviously busy and there was a big line out the door. Expecting this we had booked a table but there seemed... More

I brought 5 friends for a 50th Birthday celebration Despite pre booking for second sitting we had to queue ~20 mins for a table. Our 1st waiter told us it wasn't his problem since they were busy and promptly vanished. Our second waiter finally appeared and took orders but 30 mins. later we were still waiting for bread and water.... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and the food was great. Service was a little slow and necessitated us foregoing desert (prob a blessing in disguise ) to make the 20h51 bus back to Argentiere but in fairness they were exceptionally busy which appears to be expected and for good reason.

Right in the heart of Chamonix. Fun decor to sit and lounge after a day of skiing. Had a wonderful onion soup with a tartiflette. Saw others having fondue which looked good as well. Waiters were very friendly and spoke English. Would definitely recommend for lunch or dinner and we will be going back next time we're in Chamonix.

Very busy fantastic food just don't forget to book or you may end up waiting in the street in the cold until a table becomes available.
