We visited La Caleche as part of a large group and despite this, the staff did an amazing job serving us all at the same time with delicious hot food. We had quiche to start, followed by beef bourgignon with dauphinoise potatoes , followed by parfait. The place is a bit like an antique shop with curios in every corner... More

We looked at several restaurants around the area of our hotel. La caleche had a good choice of food and wine , we had a lovely meal sitting outside. The staff were friendly and the food excellent would recommend to one

Went with kids, good value kids entree. Good tartaflette and fondue. Huge dining room to make families feel as though kids are inconspicuous!

Yes, there are a lot of tourists here but there is a good reason for that. The menu offers up a good range of Haute Savoie cuisine and does so at a fairly good value. Like many large operations, service can be a bit spotty when it gets busy but the staff do their best to cope with the traffic.

This is a well known tourist restaurant in Chamonix for those tourists who want to round out the experience with traditional fondu. The restaurant is like a museum in that it is filled with regional collectables. They offer pretty standard fare in a cozy setting and we enjoyed our meal. However, I have learned that a restaurant or hotel is... More

Our friends recommended this restaurant and we were happy to be the guests thereof. The fondue menu is not intensive, but very tasty. If you wish to try Savoi food then this place is the must)))

This regional restaurant with its local artefacts interior decoration provides a wonderful ambiance, despite the notion that clients are from all over the world. It is truly the quality of personnel that makes the difference. Very welcoming, pro-active and knowledgable, on top of the notion that they seem to back-up each other in respect of the labor intense environment (stairs,... More

....and it's still good. It may play on its location and decor but why not? also, more than that, we were very well looked after and enjoyed our food and wine. Two kids (4 and 1) were more than welcome and enjoyed the kids menu. cliche maybe but who cares we always have a great time.

We ate at the tables outside but make sure you have a good look inside as the place is packed full of interesting items, from a Polar Bear to Extremely Old wooden Skiis! we had very traditional Mountain Fare, a large pot of Hock and Stew washed down with the local Blonde Mont-Blanc Beer, the waitress was charming and dressed...
