We ate here with our 3 children on a Tuesday night in early July. It was cold and rainy outside, and such a welcome experience to enter this cosy restaurant that has an impressive capacity inside, as well as such rustic decorations. We loved seeing all the old photographs and alpine paraphernalia. Service was friendly and efficient. The children were... More

We wandered in here by chance - two families with hungry kids. First impression is that it's very large and busy. Visually interesting as it's a history of Chamonix; old skis and sleds, great old pictures of the early days. The menu is large and very wholesome - in many ways better suited for après-ski than a warm summer night.... More

One of the best meals one this trip, tastes were excellent and the presentation was equally good. The fondue was out of this world and would highly recommend this dish to all travelers stoping here. The restaurant is a living museum of collectibles, take your time to observe all of them.

Entering this place takes u into the cave of delight and coziness. The lighting is perfect and the rustic style is calming. Really superb meat dishes as well as fusions that will really have u lick the plate. Pretty good wine too. Enjoy and cheers.

We ate at La Caleche twice whilst in Chamonix and had to stop at going a third time, just to try elsewhere. The food was amazing, the decor inside is lovely and the waiters were polite and friendly. It's a bit on the pricey side, but we didn't grumble as you clearly get what you pay for. I'd certainly go... More

Great service and very good food. Highly recommend. Has fondue and raclette and many other dishes. There is nothing that I disliked. Has two choices of 3 course menu for tourists or alike or choose anything else on the menu.

We chose this place at random and what a gem it is, located in the upper part of the Chamonix town. The restaurant is packed full of antiques, qurios and stuffed animals plus pictures of Chamonix in older times. We are here on a Saturday night and had made a booking which turned out to be a good decision as... More
