Nice dinner downtown Chamonix

Great little spot underneath downtown Cham. We were the first table in on a Wednesday night and we really enjoyed our cozy conversations in the cave before the place got busy. Overall, a great find. Well-priced French comfort food alongside a Mont Blanc Blanche...Mmm.

Eating your dinner in an old cheese cave is a great experience and they have made the most of the location with funky stained glass windows adding character. The food was good and reasonably priced. The service was ok, there we were the only table in for a while and rather then feeling we had their full attention, we felt... More

..the service sucks. We know it's France but come on guys, Chamonix is a tourist town - you can easily do better. We love the cosy atmosphere downstairs in 'the cave' and the food is consistently good, but the service is - again even in French terms - consistently poor. We'd give you a 5* but every time we go... We walked by this restaurant the first few days of our holiday, as it is not too obvious on the main Street, underneath the Chinese restaurant and you have to enter by going down a narrow staircase. However once we discovered it we went back to it, which is more than we did to the other Chamonix restaurants. The guy... More

Roaming the streets with my with and two of my adult daughters, we went from menu to menu on the Main Street of Chamonix, during the shoulder season. We reviewed the menu and decided to descend the narrow stairway. Immediately seated, We reviewed the menu, the the waiter politely encouraged us to practice out high school French.. Daughter #1 ate... More

If you want to eat a good (but not great) pizza in a location with character, then this is better than other basic pizza restaurants. They are made in a wood oven, but an unkempt looking chef, whose talent lies in pizza making, but not personal appearance. Avoid anything else on the menu, though. We thought a Tartiflette would be... More

I have eaten here so many times over the years and has really great food, service and atmosphere. But reading the recent reviews, it is sad that standards seem to have slipped. Our waitress didn't have much idea of the menu, and was swift and surly. The food was okay, but not great. They didn't seem to be trying to... More

a little worrying for all the people who get claustrophobia but quite nice inside. The food was ok but the service was pretty surly and poor. Pizzas were good but staff need to pull finger out😤😤😤
