The restaurant is a one-star Michelin - and it delivers exactly this: Great food with an innovative touch, good wines and great service. We had the 7-course menu with the wines and cheeses - and overall it was a highly recommendable dinner - which for 2 ended up around 300€ - fine for a Michelin star meal with 7-8 different... More

Our family dinner started with a delicous amuse bouche consisting of a petit four, some goat cheese and an archicoke soup, followed by a cream of peas together with an emulsion of lardo. After these two tasty pre-starters, we had the melon soup which was very good, the herring which was good and a terrin with fois gras, which was... More

We had a wonderful meal here to mark the end of a holiday in Chamonix. The service was superb, only bettered by the food of course. The standard of food was incredible, it is difficult to chose a favourite course as the mackerel, the local fish, the beef, all were amazing.... An extensive and varied wine list allowed us to... Make sure to check out the €20 lunch menu ! It's a steal. You get a fantastic Michelin star meal for a fraction of the cost of the "à la carte" menu. Some tasty "amuse-bouche" before you get your main course and dessert. I recommend going for the cheese trolley instead of the dessert though as the selection is brilliant.

Restaurant is part of a hotel but nothing to comment about table layout or ambience. Service staff were courteous and spoke english. We had the beef and lobster as mains but felt that we tasted better food at other restaurants. For the price point vs food quality, I agree that are other options in Chamonix.

We selected the 3 course menu and it turned out to be 8. Service was excellent and the food beautifully presented. A great place for a celebration.

There is no way this restaurant deserves the coveted Michelin Star. We were one of the first guests to arrive at 7:30pm there were mostly empty tables at this point, yet they sat us in the corridor by the bar. It felt we were getting the bar menu. So I asked to move and they then put us in an... More

Food was good, but for the price not worth it. A bit sterile environment, hotel restaurant. Not sure how this place is rated so well. We have dined at 15-20 spots in Chamonix, some Michelin rated, this was not up to par with most of the other spots in the city. And its on the far end of the town... More

Went to Le Bistrot on saturday the 8th of march 2014. 6 people had tasting menu. Only one of the dishes was ok, the rest was awful! first course was a pumpkin mousse with bits of cured ham, the ham was tough and had a glazed look as it had been lying out in the heat for to long. second... More

If this is a Michelin restaurant you should come to my place! Mediocre food, poor service and boring facilities. Wonder how they got this star.
