20€ lunch menu = excellent value

We went to Le Bistrot for lunch and did not regret! 20 euros for a three course meal plus small appetizers and cakes with coffee as extra was a bargain. Overall the food was great. Not worthy of a michelin star. The food we ordered was ala carte. but the same entree items that were on the larger menu. the atmosphere was cafeteria like. they let a young child play their cartoons on their ipad without headphones which disturbed any semblance of atmospher. we had fish and steak. steak was better. fancy appetizers were silly... Superior quality and preparation of food with friendly and accommodating service. Live American jazz standards in bar next door an added bonus. Appealing children's menu.

be sure to go to Bistrot even if you are not staying in the hotel. The pre fix menu offered several great selections and you could add the cheese course onto any of the menus. The lamb I chose was offered with the best risotto with shaved black truffles I have ever had in a restaurant.

Very good restaurant - the best we visited in Chamonix. Excellent menu and great wine list. Service was attentive and good. Recommend the homemade marshmellows.

Had lunch here today after eating disguting food up at the top of the mountain when skiing. Brilliant. Lovely appetizers the main course of beef was to die for and the desert of macaroons and sorbet was unbelievable. I can see how it has 2 Michelins stars. Not only this I disagree with many reviews as this same night I... More

We had a lovely dinner at Le Bistrot based on a recommendation from a friend. It was a beautiful modern, French style meal. It was a little pricey but we were fed an amazing meal with every course in between. The favourite was a cheese trolley to die for- amazing!

We came here for the New years dinner which was multiple courses. Wonderful friendly service, very friendly, simple modern setting. Great timing with the food. They used expensive ingredients (lobster, foie gras, truffles) which I'm assuming was for New Years eve but the menu wasn't particularly creative. Nice marinated salmon to start, delicious scallops done two ways. Excellent fish dish.... More

this is a michelin starred restaurant but are very relaxed in their dress code . this is good for tourists as not all of them choose to carry formal clothes . food is excellent so is the choice of wines . junior staff require a lot of training but the manager was quite good with his recommendations .
